How Powerful Is Your Sun Sign, Really?

So I was wondering...when people talk about the zodiac signs, of course, the ones mostly emphasized are first of all sun sign,moon sign, and ascendent. It often seems that people place the sun sign as the #1 influencer, either the moon or ascendent second, and either the moon or ascendent (depending on what they choose as second) third, then all the other planets.

So I was wondering: I have a theoretical person SunSagittarius. So, SunSagittarius's sun sign is, well, Sagittarius. SunSagittarius, however, also has both, a Taurus moon and a Taurus ascendent. Would now SunSagittarius be more Taurus or Sagittarius?

Straight up answer yes, there are influences beyond a sun sign. Myself....I can be a devil or an angel. Born scorpio and with venus and mars both conjuct in my eighth house of virgo, I can be a mess of contradictions, fired with powerful and seemingly uncontrollable passions and yet there always seems to be an opposite muse to soothe and temper me, protecting me from myself lest I end up either dead or in jail.

I think you can find yourself in every sign, change the title of the description and people would say "hey, that's describes me perfectly!" In other words...nonsense.

I consider from my own experience that your sun sign is more of your natural personality, and how you react to the world when you're younger. After you learn your lessons in life, I don't believe that it's so relevant. Same with your Moon sign...the other aspects in your chart don't seem to change so much until you've experienced what parts of your life they affect, more than once.

I think allot of emphasis on which of your signs are more powerful has to so with planetary aspects. For instance, if your sun/ moon/rising has it's ruling planet in it, it has more influence over you. Planets get their influence from where they are seated and aspected in the Zodiac. I'm an Aries sun/mercury 2nd house. But my Sun is opposite of Pluto. My rising is Pisces Venus, Venus is exalted in Pisces. Etc.
