Aye.... I have HBP, and it is not very cooperative with medication. The only one we found that works well is 100mg a day of Atenolol. The max dose. One of it's key side effects is decreased stamina. I can only maintain vigorous sexual activity for a single minute max. My heart, under the medication, simply refuses to beat fast. It will beat harder, but not that fast. By design of course. So I have to keep my desires in check. I can't get too excited and start pounding away because doing so means I will not be able to finish.

My last hope is for a posthumous hand job from some young blonde pre-med student when I am one of the subjects in anatomy lab. She'll pull back the sheet on my body and gasp..........ohhhhhhhhhhhh......look at the size of that old man's .....................

Because physical condition, not numerical age, is the determining factor, it's really a matter of identifying conditions that will end your capacity to enjoy it, and then guess what age that will be.

The only things that have ever ruined my ability to enjoy sex, and therefore my interest in sex, were temporary and short lived - unhealed bone fractures, influenza, things of that sort. It came back in a week or a matter of weeks, so those don't count.

I'd put it this way, my ability to enjoy sex will probably end for good when the end-of-life death spiral of broken bones, blood clots, ambulance calls, and bed sores begins; or in hospice care for end-stage cancer. What age will that be? Probability says 84, based on my current age. Based on the longevity and manner of death of close relatives, it shouldn't be before age 70 nor after age 90.

Actually, there's no cancer in my family on either side, but I'm in the first generation to grow up eating chemicals and breathing in particles of plastics and their derivatives. Now, dementia does run here and there in the family, so I wonder if it counts as enjoying it, if you can't remember it 2 minutes later. If I have to be able to remember it, I'd have to revise that age 84 to age 81.

Very near 82, and still need sexual release about once a week.

Living alone with my beloved computer and my equally beloved right hand.

...and for those too young to know yet, the differences are that size, frequency and volume are all down a bit, but INTENSITY is at least as much if not more due to edgeing.

I noticed that when I worked out for months it got bigger, then smaller again after I stopped.. Then I read bad circulation changes the penis size over time.

I have a friend in his very late 70's who hits the massage parlor every once and a while. Do you ever venture out to get some pussy?

The thing that kills a male sex drive is pulmonary embolism, but I think with the real partner you can overcome that, my partner of 50 years has thrown in the towel but we have had a good sex life. you name it and we done it.

But for me I need more, in need of a partner who can go on and on to fill the gap, a female one that is.

No, I thought long and hard about it, but in the end decided not to. Menopause was not her fault and if she did that to me i would be deeply hurt, so I could not either.

Sadly, I think the reality is I'm not as exciting as I used to be. There are lines on my face where there weren't before... At 41, I'm no longer 'young and attractive' and feel more than a little guilty thrusting my will upon my partner who deserves something more 'legitimate' in that department. :(

C'mon now. Don't sell yourself as old yet. At 61, I started having sex with multiple partners. Anywhere from age 25 to 55. Not a one cared about my wrinkles or silver hair nor that I'm not like I was at 31. They all enjoy the way I pay attention to them and even though there are times I don't ejaculate it's still fun. So keep on sexing on.

ok.. we don't agree on that.

My hair is also taking a new hue; though thankfully it remains relatively full and thick. I think that it's VERY noticeable, and I feel bad.

The wrinkles... I see them. I know she sees them too. They're ugly. I don't find it in the least inconsequential. It's a delicate matter I believe, and deserves finesse.

Now we shouldn't totally disengage, but a certain awareness is necessary and appropriate.

I guess what I'm saying is, I would be lying and fooling only myself if I were to behave as a younger man behaves & to continue to think of myself that way is foolhardy in my estimation. :)

I don't know if I forgot to mention, but we're waiting to do anything like that until marriage; which we have no plans for at the moment.

About marriage? We're not ready - I already know. It would be torturous and futile. We're in love, but right now we don't live together yet. That'd be our first step toward a union. There's a lot of stuff going on that makes it less of a primary concern.

But my age... :( It's a bummer. I see the stupid grey hair and the crows feet every day in the mirror. The hair color is the more tolerable of the two. Wrinkles are just awful.
