^^ Quarrelling about which overpriced drug is more important makes big pharma smile.
Arguing one drug vs. another takes time away from planning how to rein in big pharma and get health care for all.

[climbs off of soap box and returns to discussion about a women who wants more sex than one man can (currently) provide.]:tongueout:

I wish there was as much appetite for reigning in big pharma’s purchase of our democracy as there is for horny women

You are seriously going off the rails with all this personal shit. Save it for someone else, I'm bored with it.

Hey now, I happen to like horny women. While I agree that drug companies have become megalithic financial monsters, some of them have actually made good on their claims. People are surviving Aids, Cancer and heart disease far longer than anyone could have imagined a few decades ago.

The gripe I have presented here about erection drugs is exactly to your point. There's no reason these drugs should cost so much and the price has been inflated beyond the reach of most of the public. So big pharma is feeding into the class war scenario as well. Only the wealthy will be able to afford to treat this condition. The rest of the couples in America will become depressed as they age, their sex lives becoming a distant memory. But that's ok, since erections aren't important (or so I have heard).

Some guys off themselves over these very sorts of performance issues. It becomes a matter of self-worth and for some it becomes a spiraling obsession. Also, it was not my intention to derail the thread. I speak my mind, but I'm also careful not to get personal with people in the forums. Too many people get kicked out for that, so I didn't mean to feed into it.

I think this is a real issue, so I have no time for anyone belittling in. I've been with Jane, my wife, for over 25 years now. I put her through college, 3 times and we have well behaved and accomplished children. All because I believe in a strong marriage and a healthy relationship at ALL levels. So belittling the sexuality of older men is petty and trite in my eyes. Watching Ashley Judd rail on about it was unnerving. I can't get over how many women seem to buy into her shit. It's uselessly divisive.

I’m not sure who you’re referring to but I wasn’t belittling anyone or anything. At the same time I’m not going to be sympathetic for the cost of viajará drugs when white straight middle aged Christian men are almost exclusively in control of big pharma and health care law

Actually MOST of the "straight, white middle aged Christian men" aren't in control of anything. You're stereotyping a whole swath of the population for the misdeeds of a handful of wealthy assholes.

I'm right there beside you if you want to address the actual people causing the strife we suffer, but going after people for just being white straight middle aged Christian men is just plain wrong. It's no better than stereotyping any other group according to the faults of a few within them.

However, I want to give you props for saying "men" instead of the belittling "males" we hear so much. As if they were creatures better suited for a Discovery Channel series.

Government and the leadership of most American corporations are middle aged straight white Christian men. That’s not a stereotype that’s the demographic of those groups.

You’re a little reflexive. I didn’t belittle anyone the first comment and I didn’t go after anyone in the last one.

What you are lamenting is not a color issue, it's a wealthy class issue. They shit on every color equally because we're all beneath them equally. In their world being less than a millionaire should qualify us for disabled parking permits. Yes, they are THAT arrogant. I doubt any of us would feel better about them if they were primarily wealthy black heads of corporations.

And yes, I am reflexive since I'm the most hated demographic in America today, I'm an "old white man". So naturally I have truckloads of unearned privileges, vast wealth and unholy control over the lives of women and minorities. Only, I don't. I'm also supposed to be millimeters from joining the KKK or goose stepping my way into Nazi glory. Only, I'm not and neither are most of the old white men in America.

I'm part of that other demographic, the greater majority of old white men who had to work my ass off for everything I have. As my family died off, they didn't leave enough of an estate for me to bury them. I didn't learn until my senior year that there was no money for college, so I lied about my age and joined the Navy, which sucked 85% of the time (15% was actually cool). It was 10 years after I left the Navy that I was finally able to go to college. It was 15 years after I graduated when I finally paid off my student loans. And up until last year I was gouged by the government for 57% by having the audacity to be self-employed.

Anyway, with all the hate I've seen over the years I guess it's a miracle I have any stamina at all. Probably because I treat everyone the same. I don't practice racism or sexism in any form. I know that's a shock, but it's true. I grew up near San Francisco where nobody cared what you were s long as you weren't an asshole. But I couldn't afford to stay and moved all around the country chasing jobs. I found all kinds of disgusting racism and sexism in places I wouldn't have expected it. And I was proven wrong in a few places as well. Especially Atlanta, where I was sure I'd see cross burnings, KKK bake sales and cops beating black people in the streets. So while I admit to my prejudices and preconceived notions, I don't let them rule me and I certainly don't let them infect my interpersonal relations. Especially at work.

    Thanks for the discussion!

I suppose it varies. I roofed 'till I was 70---still in pretty good shape with many years of work behind me. Hopefully many ahead.

If the average male lasts approximately less than 5 minutes in the bedroom then I have to ask, what stamina are we even talking about to begin with. :p

Victimized? That's a weird take away. I only said hated, not victimized. The only victimization I catch is from the IRS, like every other working American, regardless of race. Oh, and I am routinely victimized by Father Time.

All I was getting at was that I don't carry any privilege, which doesn't make me feel like a "victim" at all. It just means I made my own way in life. I'm beginning to see a new side to this idea of being "reflexive". Oh well. (Toke time!!!!!!)

I don't know about stamina, but I get concerned sometimes that I've lost some interest. Then I tell myself "Maybe it's all in your head anyway". :)

Two words...Briffault's Law. Look it up ladies, please. Sorry, but facts are facts.

BTW, Who builds our buildings, highways, bridges, our basic infrastructure that everyone uses every day and takes for granted?
And they aren't all White, or Americans, for that matter. But many are. Men are who build most of the things society takes for granted.
If something is wrong, in any way, guess who usually shoulders the blame in our society?
That's all I have to say. I've seen it all my life.

iamhis1, Respectfully,Please encourage your husband to get a medical check up and you should go with him. You and him need to be very open with communicating with your doctor. I am 64 and my wife is 59. I shruggled in my 50's with the same issues. I got my T-level checked and found out I should have been on medicine years earlier. This the best thing I have ever done for our sex life. I get regular check ups for prostate concerns. I take Testosterone meds along with cialis. I control my weight with diet. We eat fresh fruit and drink lots of water.
Stamina is not the problem for us, because I give my wife a oral orgasm first, and then a second one during intercourse. We do change positions several times during our sexual activity and this helps with the stamina and cumming to soon. I can last a long time before cumming, but at 64 when I do cum,it is once and I done. However, I do shoot a good load, usually 1 precum shot, 3-4 ropes and 1 post dribble. We have sex 2- 3 times, sometimes 4 times a week. We masturbate together and let our sexual mood take us where we want to go.
Again, please get a check up.
The problem we have is as follows.
We are retired and lead a very secluded life in a very hot year round climate. We really have to plan our sexual activity during the cool of the evening or very early morning. My wife and I would also like to find another couple near our age,to spend some quality adult playtime together. Not so much to swap, but to be together privately and explore each other's sexual appetite. We do really love each other, but we do understand "sexual fun" has nothing to do with love. We will probably never find such a couple.
