We have 4 cars. My Honda that I use to drive to work never gets washed. I have a Jeep that is basically just my toy. I don't drive it often enough to get it very dirty but it gets an occasional bath. Our MINI is pretty new and we keep it very clean inside and out. And our old VW bus rarely gets washed or driven anymore. I've tried to convince my wife to sell the bus but I think she would sell me first.
I washed mine last night... First time since 2012. Before that I washed and waxed it every week during the summer because I used to show it at the local car shows... Not anymore.
i wash my big truck twice a year..its a big job because its always under a tree and needs to be hand scrubbed with strong detergent the smaller truck i usually wait for rain and then quickly give it a once over with dish soap and a big brush
When I water the garden with the hose I often wash the car off but If you mean how often to bring it to the car wash I'd say once a month:2thumbsup: hotwater
I've never washed the outside of my car. It rains a lot here. Inside--a few times a year I do a big clean, and small ones a bit more frequently.
In the spring I run my car through a quick drive thru car wash every few days because the pollen turns it green. Otherwise, pretty much never...maybe once a year.
I just washed my truck today. I have to wash it at least every 2 weeks because the trees in my drive way sprinkle sap and debris that builds up making it look dirty and hard to see out the windshield. If I had a nice clean place to park I prolly wouldn't have to wash it so often.
good to know im not the only one who barely washes it. heading out to wash it now though. im sure itll get shit on by a bird 20 minutes after im done
Yup. I also have other vehicles for my business that have to be registered, insured, etc. but not nearly as many as I used to have. I've gotten rid of a lot of trucks, trailers, brush chippers, etc just because we weren't using them anymore and I didn't want to have to pay for tags, insurance and keeping them in good shape. But the reason I still have the Jeep is because I need it for my recreational adventures. I take it fishing and use it pull my small boat and that kind of thing. Or I can throw my bike on the back of it and go ride some trails. When we bought the MINI, the Jeep was paid for so we just kept it. Grand Cherokee Limited HO, loaded with all the bells and whistles with 114k miles on it. Still looks nice. Pretty sweet fishing vehicle if I do say so myself. :afro:
once a year. each spring when i'm confident it won't snow again so i can get any remaining salt off for the summer. i didn't bother this year though. it's having lots of issues lately and i've pretty much decided i'm not putting any more time or money into it; just hoping it holds out until i can find a suitable replacement.
