Because of dry skin issues. Showering every day tends to add to the issue. So under normal conditions I shower every other day . If I am sweaty, or feel dirt then I will shower a couple of days in a row.
I bathe everyday around two or three times. It is said that water helps to get rid off negative vibes, and cold water can increase prana or chi levels. I bathe more times in summer each day to cool my body better.
I think there's an option missing. lol 'Whenever I need or ought to have one'. (That's different from "whenever I feel like it". lol). I shower when I waken up, and that's usually after the 2nd morning coffee. If I am doing something strenuous and break sweat, I'll shower about an hour afterwards, when I have cooled down. If it is hot, I'll generally use the pool during the day to cool off because repeat showers don't cool me down. I'm usually leaking again by the time I have lifted the towel. If I am due to go out for the evening, or to meet up with someone, I shall shower again, whether I need one or not, just to be clean for any eventuality.

Once a day for long stretches of time. I do fall into ruts every now and then.. which will impact this at whatever the severity dictates.

I go about four maybe five days. I am not kidding you. Often it's less time between my showers. But I do was my face two times a day - in the morning and at night.
At least the shower after gym class thing invented by pedos finally died. Ya sure I got "dirty" throwing a ball around for 35 minutes, that was so stupid. I will never ever understand the people who used to shower at LA fitness instead of just going home.
The reason I asked this question is due to the current fad of not washing often or at all. They say it's better for your skin. From dermatologists to Hollywood stars it's been the fashion for a few years now. I think one reason for washing less is the poor quality of water we have to use. Especially in the west where very hard water is the norm. And chemicals used to treat the water may be harming our skin, even causing cancers. I see a few respondents already realize this. Personally I noticed washing everyday was causing my skin to dry out and my scalp got scaly lesions, which disappeared once I stopped shampooing every day, or every other day. Now twice a week at most. I shower every other day or third day unless grungy or too cool down.
Whenever I feel like it. Could be twice a day during the summer when it's hot and sticky, and I could spread it out to a few days in the winter when it's cold and dry.
