Obedience is different to submission.

Anyway I did an experiment a while ago.
I put a notice on the library study room.
Please remove shoes as we have Muslim community at study.
It was untrue.
But everyone obeyed.
I did ask permission first.
I also explained to all that complied.

Yes, that well-known experiment with pain. Unfortunate, but..... Anything that gives us insight into human behavior prepares us for whatever comes next. Or, at least, it should! Though lately I'm beginning to wonder if we've learned very much in the last 40 years, as to what to avoid.

I do not discuss politics or religion because of just such as that.
