These have been collecting dust in my living room. This is my MicroKorg synthesizer and Behringer Ultratone 180-watt keyboard amp. The amp is valued at $350, and the synth is valued around $400 brand new. How much do you think I should sell both of these together for? I purchased them both in 2011, and they are in perfect condition.

$1,000,000, but I'm no expert in music valuation.

You should probably sell them for whatever you could get for them.

as a general rule as long as they are not too old (guitars are different ) I think of SH value as 2/3 of What they would cost new so around $500 for both but be prepared to Haggle Downwards !

If I was holding a yard sale I’d want $200 dollars for the pair

Another man's trash is another man's treasure.

Pricing old things no longer used is perhaps better based on the number of prospects seeking these items being sold/ how much money could be of help toward the purchase of something else.

Depreciation value on that amp would be pretty steep... The Korg on the other hand will hold it's value pretty well. This is just due to brand name, not condition or amount of use.

In general, used musical equipment is still a buyers market, be prepared to accept less than you think they should sell for.

What tyrs said. Look in any pawn shop and you can find any instruments you want pretty cheap.

list for double of what you really want...that way when people come and offer half of what youre asking its hard for them to walk away when you say yes

plus listing at double gets rid of most of the idiots that expect it for peanuts

Would you buy a second hand speaker, knowing its probably already blown, if new its only $350?

I'm sure that would look great in an orphanage and think of all the karma you'd get. ;)

I would aim to get $200 for the synth and $150 for the amp. Start maybe $100 dollar higher just so the buyer can haggle and feel good.

No, but I would if it was still in great condition which can be tested.

if you send it to me for free i'll take it. not sure where i'd put the amp i don't really need unless i was actually going to perform with it live.

i'd love to have a mini-korg actually, but it would more likely be wasted on me, so i'm not really serious.

there's this musician i've met who lives in scottland, but i'm pretty sure he has all the equipment he needs or wants.
i could be mistaken though. he's already cut a couple of albums at abby road, so i'm kind of guessing he has.

the only other musicians i've personally known have been rather a lot longer ago then that.
