It's snowing hard in Boston now, hours before the blizzard hits. I see they've given the storm a name -- "Winter Storm Quintus".
Boston....I heard you say that some place yesterday, too....I pass by Boston every year when I go to the Cape. Maybe I will go outside and build an igloo with all of this snow.
This storm is a quick mover but a hard hitter especially downeast maine and cape cod. I’m further up the coast from you in Southern NH but we all get to share in the fun :2thumbsup: Hotwater
In Boston, it stopped snowing, so not much on the ground yet. Now they say that the blizzard will start around 9 pm.
Weather channel said the storm missed the north Atlantic sweet spot (located just south of cape cod) by a mere 70 miles, which was the difference between getting pounded and getting almost nothing Hotwater
No more snow today and about 30 degees....so can get out there, and hope things don't get slushy, but I imagine they will at some point. Kind of sunny today.
Good for you guys, was thinking about ya all day. Was warm and quite windy with sun here. All in all was nice to be out all day but my hair is a mess! Oh well, it's always a mess.
I’m guessing mostly the result of lake effect snows; there are places on the tug hill plateau (upstate NY) that received over 200 inches of snow in some years Hotwater
Clear 11° F RealFeel® 14° F We're expecting another 4-8 inches of snow tomorrow before it finally warms up over the weekend :2thumbsup: Hotwater
