ok so i really dont care how much you make. and for the wise guys out there...im asking about money at your job.
what i am really wondering is do you keep it a secret, does anyone know how much you make? would you tell anyone if they asked. some people just dont care, while others treat it as if it is the most important secret in their life. so why do you think that is?

i guess the reason i brought it up was because i told someone how much my take home pay would be this week and he said his momma told him never talk about money. but this is a guy who has been at the company three times as long as i have so he knows the general idea of what everyone is making. but i just mentioned take home pay, i never mentioned my 401k, hsa, insurance costs, taxes/#of dependents. so i didnt think nothing of it being that there was no way he could really know how much i make but he already could guess pretty closely to how much i make an hour.

would that be a big deal to any of you?

In my last job we were not allowed to talk about our wages. I think it was because there was a lot of disparity between coworkers wages. Personally I did not talk about it to people in any case.

I don't see the point of giving detailed info to strangers but it's not a secret that I don't make a lot of money. I do like to bother people with how less money I spend  jk all in proportion (i think) :p

I once worked this company and had to hand out the checks to employees. one those employees was my friend. When his mother found out that I handled the checks. She was pissed off that I knew what he was earning. hello: Im a supervisor, I give him the hours, know his wages. How is it not possible to know what he makes. Which was around $180.00 omg hes rich$$$$$ I didnt make much more, my check was like 210.00 ..

I make shit now. unemployed: depending on rent from evil tenants that chase away other tenants. other property destroyed by adjacent nuisance carwash .. living the american dream..

why not, its not like i am ever going to pass you on the street and say. "hey you make enough to spare a buck, can you help me out?"

anyway i think you have the wrong smiley because its like your being ironic but rolling the eyes is not an ironic emoticon. whats the deal were you being funny or did i share too much somewhere?

come on post a photo on the recent photos thread already!!!!!!!!!

funny. I had said to the gf . life here is easy compared to what people are living like in the Ukraine..
However its much like a POW camp too.. dictators dont care about the people, and a political conflict with a pos carwash.. the fun is about to begin.

I make enough to take a two month holiday in the summer and to travel for an unspecified amount of time at the end of the year into next year. Or the year thereafter. :2thumbsup:

Is it about how much we make or what we do with it?
I have always made enough that I could build on my retirement, at that time how much I have will be important to me, for now I use my brain to build with what I have and I am doing ok. Better then many around me but they don't think of their future so it's all about today and how much they make, which is probably quite comparable to me.

I am currently a student who can't find a part-time job, so I make nothing. My wife, on the other hand, makes a good wage.
