I feel that there is much talk about the number of sex partners people have had before marriage but I can't find anything about the number of TIMES you had sex within those relationships. For example, I was mostly in a long term relationship before I was married. I would estimate that I had sex a couple thousand times before I married my wife. She, on the other hand, had many partners with shorter relationships. She claims that the number of times she had sex with all her partners combined was less than 50. We got married when she was 27 and I was 25. How many times have you done the deed before you finally settled down?
I don't think you have to have sex a whole lot of times to know the kind of person and kind of sex you like... I think you can only branch out in a safer committed relationship. Short terms don't give you anything but relief (sometimes) in my experience. My numbers are low. But I could erase 95% of the one-offs, since most were bad sex. I think I only had three longterm relationships before marriage. Unfortunately went into marriage without longterm relationship and it failed. Marriage sex was pretty mediocre too. Sigh. It's not the numbers. It's the quality.
For me, the answer is zero since I was a virgin on our wedding night. For my wife, she did it once as a young teen, never in high school, and we estimate about 30 times during the first two years of college before we became engaged.
I had sex quite a lot before my marriage, not saying that I don't have a good amount now. I went wild with it around the age of 19 and stayed that way for about 4 years.
