I've been doing lifting two days per week. but finally started seeing results on my body after adding a few spin classes to my weekly workouts. This week, my goal is to workout 5 times. I want to hit three spin classes, and my usual two workouts with the personal trainer. On another note, why is this sub forum dead?
3-5. A lazy week to me is like 3 little sessions. I don't work or for too long but I do about 300 crunches, 60 push ups and some other mid section exercises and I've also started 15 minute jogs. My weekends tend to be big on food or drink so when I feel like I've been lazy ontop of a good, or bad, depending on you look at it, weekend then I go up to like 5 of those sessions.
For some reason, as soon as I saw this image, my mouth grew into an ear to ear grin, and i started giggling uncontrollably.
What type of cardio do you engage in? Have you ever tried spin class? My friend Mark said he'd "rather be infected by an HIV needle than try spin class"
i generally lift 3 days a week, and do a halfass body weight workout plus a halfass mini yoga session on sundays. i'm relatively active outside of that too, but that's all i do as far as intentional workouts. standing outside and posing with a chainsaw that has clearly never been turned on, while implying that it's perfectly safe to cut wood without any sort of eye protection?
Mostly HIIT, but sometimes low intensity as well. I really prefer to do about 9 or 10 intervals in 25 minutes and burn as many calories as I would with 45-60 minutes of standard low intensity cardio. To me there are more benefits to high intensity, short duration cardio. Also, never tried the spin class thing.
I'd prefer a 45 minute, high intensity workout over a 60 minute, lower intensity workout, frankly. Although sometimes it is nice to get a low intensity workout in, especially after going hard for a few days prior, you know? How often do you have whey protein powder? I am wondering if i should be having a protein shake after every workout.
