Zero But I had some close calls with cops before laws changed in my state. Even then it would have been a fine and no jail unless it was a repeat offense or I looked like a dealer.
A number of close calls but only one arrest. I beat it. I was even my own lawyer in a jury trial. "You have a right to an attorney or one will be appointed for you" is a myth.
I was pulled over for speeding once. I had a half smoked bowl, and bag of weed sitting in my console when the cop came to my window but I was so high I forgot it was there. He was taller than my jeep and didn't really lean in / I leaned out more than anything. Maybe he didn't care, I don't know. But he just wrote the ticket and let me go. So, zero.
Once. A friend and I had bought some stuff that smelled particularly strong and we were pulled over due to expired regristration (my friend failed to inform me of this expired registration). We were not smoking it but the smell was strong enough that the officer could smell it. I should have kept it in a mason jar. They took a quart of really great hooch and an analog vaporizer. A few drug classes later charges are dismissed. Not all too bad. First world problems. Hope it doesn't happen again though.
True. But I don't think most people know what they're doing. I was acquitted. I still remember my grandpa telling me back then "It's not a court of law. It's a court of procedure."
Twice back in the 70s while i was in the military. Was at a party one night and had a dime of weed. I was high on pcp and frying my brain out. A fellow shipmate was a narc and had called the cops and they raided the place. Spent the night in jail, paid a $100.00 fine. Second bust was for hash while in Italy. I was restricted to the ship and demoted one rank. Still get high to this day and where I live weed is legal.
0 times for me, have a friend who did time. He was doing more than using. I talked to him. He was pissed about doing time, for some thing the law made legal.
