What is the proportion of people not living in the system and not participating to it? How many people are trying to come out of it? Is this number growing? Are we going to end up in a world where nobody wants to make this system work again? Are there more and more people becoming aware of the non-sense that is the materialistic comsumption society?
What would be the assignment then? I see some very diverse questions. Perhaps there are more people becoming aware that having a society mainly focussed on consuming and economic grow is not the most favorable. Some won't do anything with this realisation and some will. So should they try to leave that system or change it from the inside? 2 completely different strategies.
the pathetic thing is that *95% of the people who claim to be off grid / off system and anti government are actually living off the government dole *I made that up
I would say live in the system itself, but be cautious of the content in tv , radio ,cinemas and media, because these are the instruments the government can use to disseminate propaganda , and which the capitalists use for marketing purposes by stating that this or that product can make your life be blissful forever , and if you don't buy it, you are a loser with a capital L.
depends on which parts of which systems. economically it was 10% before raygun and its been 25% to 30% ever since. it reduced slightly during clinton and probably during obama, but i haven't been out there since before the end of the shrub's regeme. there are of course good ways to be out of the system too. as in off grid and subsistence. it would be wonderful if THAT percentage could be higher, but i doubt if its much more then 5 or 6%. my own demographic, those who have a reliable income (or as close to such a thing as exists) but neither use credit nor own cars, i totally have no idea. i see a lot of people riding buses, and i consider that a good sign. but the percentage who do so by choice is impossible for me to determine. more or less then half, i really couldn't say. as for which systems, from how a lot of people act and say, it seems like they'd be surprised to find out, the business of business, corporate business anyway, is LESS on their side, then any government. i'm not saying that governments are trustworthy, just that corporate economic interests are orders of magnatude even less so. governments still have an interest in maintaining the appearance of consent of the governed. the corporate mob is under no such compulsion at all.
So to think and be aware is the solution, but is the proportion of the people that are thinking increasing?
corporate media would have you not think so, but if you pay attention to a wider range of sources, oddly enough, yes, it actually is.
Lol, Anyone claiming to be living off the grid is by and far just a liar. You wanna live off grid, well no internet for you to go posting your off grid living on.
I never met anyone I thought was living outside the system. Met a few who claimed to be but are actually living on the margins of the system.
Yes, true, you cannot come out of it completely, but still you can make choices that allows you to participate to it less or more..Me too I am thinking that the number of people that are trying to be less a part of it is increasing..Some people will say:it is impossible to come out of it, but possible to go around it and use it..
