How many of you just want to slap on a backpack and wander

I'm going to go next year. i don't know where I'm gonna go, but I'm going.

I would love to.

My dream is to get a little place in western washing to. In a city like olyimpia (used to live there) or maybe even in Vancouver, Canada and have it as a homebase and beable to wanter. Even just lead an interesting life for a while.

 

Anyone seen The Beach? That's what I want to do, just a backpack and set off into the great unknown, find a couple of like minded people and go searching for a secret paradise. I love that movie.

i'd like to wander, but i'd rather do it in my car.

 

I think I read in the first page of the guy who just want to have a backpack with a guitar in it and run into the forest.

No thought of food,water,shelter

 

I've been doing that for decades. Just make sure you have the right clothes for the weather.

 

There's nowhere to wander around here. Though sometimes I would like to wander far away from here.

 

people who talk about this kind of thing in a vague way all the time annoy me. it's not hard. they always want to start at the very deep end and GO AND NEVER RETURN! kinda thing, and it's like.. just go and do a three day hike with camping. It's not hard. You'll probably find that's all you need to do regularly to be happy. But people always speak about it in this vague way as if it's some mystical dream. just walk.

 

to be fair i was exactly the same from about age 14 - 24

 

They might figure out after one day is a lot harder than They thinkAnd definitely not as comfortable as in the La-Z-Boy in front of the TV
