Um... those are the models... 1960 reissue - it's built to the same specs as 1960 Gibson Les Pauls. That was a really good year. Some guitars are like fine wines... original 1959s are worth upscales of $250,000. The Guild model is JF30-12 (it's a 12 string, JF30 model), Texas Roadhouse Strat... it has Texas Special Pickups in it, they're used in the Stevie Ray Vaughan signature strat and have a dark tone to them, The Martin Backpacker is an odd creation, but it's a nice travel guitar. I'd like to get a Martin Backpacker Mandolin.
wow. i love the sound of acoustics; i dont know much about guitars but i do know that 12 strings are pretty awesome.
12 strings are a lot like gigantic mandolins... only with 12 strings instead of 8. The only difference between a mandolin and a guitar is that the tuning is upside down.
thanks george. they dont all sound alike right? i mean some guitars sound alike and then some don't....
yeah. im just the greatest. watch out because when you're not watching. Bam. I've just turned into a clown and im currently splatting you with a custard pie whilst telling knock knock jokes.
you're not going to try the old 'smell my flower' gig? or 'pull my finger'? good thing, that'd be too predictable
No two guitars sound alike, but unless they're the same model, most modern guitars do. That's why people demand strats from the 50s and 60s... 90 percent of tone is in your hands anyway, but they play differently... there's just some things you can't play on one guitar so you have another... I often switch back and forth and might play my les paul for a month, then I'll get addicted to playing a Fender. But, to tell you the truth, I play better on a fender. I don't really care for the look of a Gibson SG, but I like their sound. My playing changes depending on what song I'm playing, but my signature sound and natural tone sounds like Derek Trucks, except I play a little faster at times. Then again, if I'm listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan or I want to play like him, I can if I have the energy, but most people don't have the stamina, it's really strange.
i have five guitars i have a custom fender tele that plays nothing like a tele and there's nothing i like better than it i have a shitty squire stratocaster that i use for slide i have a takamine acoustic i have a 1971 ovation roundback acoustic i have a shitty ibanez i also have a trumpet, bass, violin, cello, piano, flute and hammer dulcimer
I actually love telecasters, I just don't like the feel of modern guitars. The best guitar I ever played was my uncle's 57 strat. I like Telecasters, but they just have too much twang in them. But, I put a lot of faith into the Marshall Bluesbreaker.
I know, I love what he's done to the Allman Brothers Band. It's more diverse. I'm probably going to be seeing them in July here at Verizon Wireless Amphetheatre in VABiatch. He'll go from jazz to blue slide stuff, it's amazing. The best slide I have is a Stanley Phillips head screwdriver.
