Ok speaking in general terms then, i don't see the relevance of citing any scientific research and i'll tell you why.

Assuming that this discussion doesn't involve you (as you have pointed out you're not really getting involved in the actual discussion but more so observing how the arguments are being presented).

YDH (youngdeadhead) hasn't asked me what i am arguing the science sais, nor has he contested that the science is indeed wrong, so citing a scientific study would be an irrelevent point, as it isn't in fact in question.

Now if YDH had said that there aren't any scientific studies or argued that i didn't know what i was talking about, then perhaps if i could be bothered i would feel the need to defend my point to the degree of posting up my evidence. This however was not the case.

The ONLY reason to post it up is to please you, because you seem to think that some one can't state that they have read studies unless they post up the details. Really i am not going to waste my time doing that, if i was writing a paper, then yes i'd make sure i was technically correct and my information was well sourced. as it is, this site is for entertainment, and as far giving advice goes, if i am sure that it is accurate that is enough, i am not saying it is enough for everyone to take my advice, to them i'd say do your own research and just become well informed.

As far as i am concerned my advice is just that advice, you can take it or leave it (not you personally in a general sense.). not posting up the studies itself doesn't make it any less accurate.

maybe we all SHOULD be put together, then maybe all of our cannabis-impaired brains will equal to that of one regular, smart brain. :rolleyes5

I dont see why everything else being bad for you means you should make it worse, i do agree a little pot and a little booze arent that bad for you, but they really aren't good for you.

its really just a matter of being "damned if you, damned if you don't," to use an old phrase. you're fucked either way so toke up and throw 'em back, you may as well enjoy your toxin-ridden body before it finally gives out on you one day.

In life we must all pick our poisons. Some just take higher doses of stronger stuff way ahead of schedule.

I disagree, i think it is better to keep your body in as healthy state as possible although not easy. personally i have done the extreme of taking too much shit and treating my body like crap to know it isn't the way. i dont think adverse situations are a reason to give up all together.

I was just having a little fun... I'm no role model either- judging from decisions in my past.

Thats cool, i do see your point, and if i was pushing this down peoples throats then i would need to back it up, i just personally cant be bothered doing it to be technically presenting the best possible argument for the sake of it.

If the situation called for it then i would cite my sources or back out of the conversation with my mouth (writing fingers) shut.

but whats the point of living to 100+ if for all those years you never eat anything unhealthy, never smoke, never drink, never go outside without sunscreen, just basiclly never have fun or take risks? i'm not saying one should try to destroy their body, but in the end we all die and that wonderful body you kept healthy and pristine for so many years will rot and decay into the same organic matter as that of the junkie or alcoholic.

all i'm saying is, enjoy life before it ends. if you enjoy smoking pot and drinking, do it. if you enjoy the feeling of having a near perfect, healthy body, then eat those carrot sticks and hit the gym. in the end, we all go the same route no matter what.

I agree, but from my personal experiance life is more fun, and i am more happy the healthier my body is. im not saying don't take risks either all i am saying is take calculated ones. The healtheir we are the more risky activities we can enjoy infact (downhill mountain biking, sky diving what ever floats your boat) and sure it could all go horribly wrong, we could even get hit by a car.

This doesn't mean you cant smoke pot and be happy, but i think you could be a little more honest, i don't think living in an unhealthy (pollution) situation is a good enough reason to smoke pot, i think the only reason any one does it is to get high.

If you lived in pristine environment then im sure you'd and the majority of tokers would still smoke pot.

All i am saying people is that it isn't healthy and that it is way more unhealthy the less developed you are, im not saying that people don't have to make their own choices.

Ahh i can picture it all in my head, it all makes sense now, seriously. Did some sports nut like yourself make an absurd health remark that he couldn't back up but refused to withdraw said remark?
