I've seen lot's of people here on hipforums, but I'm not sure how many of you are actually real hippies who follow such an life style, I also have an felling that most members here are crack heads.

So can you tell us why do you think you are an hippie?

The point is that it's a free speech forum. The point is that here anybody is accepted, as long as they follow the basic guidelines/forum rules.

You have all types of people here, leading different life-styles, having different views, etc.

You have to have been in a civil war to be on a civil war forum? I guess not. So you don't have to be a hippie to be on a hippie forum. Just have some affiliation or interest in them is enough. I can see it is kind of dissappointing if you expected to found an online group of only hippies but the fact is hippies are not so uniform as you might think, especially not 40+ years or so after the heyday of their subculture. Some people here are straight edge and some seem to live on xanax bars :D It doesn't say anything about their 'hippieness' by definition.

And of course I guess it is nitpicking on how you word it but 'following a lifestyle' is for lame-o's. Getting inspired by lifestyles sounds much better to me. But as I said I think I'm nitpicking :p

Uggghhhh I asked for a shoe the other day. No one gave me a shoe and now there are hippies everywhere. Gonna have to hippie bomb the place now, I guess. I'll call around and see if I can find a different website we can stay in until it's safe to come back. ;)

Thanks man just what I was looking for :daisy:

    @Imaginary Beeing
also why do you call me gay it's really not an insult. If you look up the word gay you will see that a gay can be this
or it could also be an referral to homosexuals (and if you are an user of this forum you know that there are may homosexuals hanging around here and they are pretty cool)

P.S: It takes one to know one

It's called 'The Hip Forums' not 'an hippie forum' - It wouldn't be very good English if it was.

    an and?

Like has been said it also has an many sub forums here at an hippie forum.

Technically I'm considered a stoner because I survived the 70's... (sort of) But all the other stoners called me a hippie.

The guy can learn a lot from this forum, including English.

    Basic English lesson for WB:
use 'an' only before words that start with a, e, i, o, u, or are pronounced as such

    Example:
    a horrible....
an honorable....(because 'ho' in 'honorable' is pronounced as 'o')

About the only common English “h words” that definitely require an are heir/heiress/heirloom, honest, honor/honorable, and hour:
    an heir to the throne
    an honest man
    an honorable woman
    an hour before

    :D

You have to say it in a Russian accent.
