Over the weekend, a 26-year old NYPD officer was shot in the head by a scum-sucking lowlife who fled. Just heard that the officer has passed. The human slime who ended the young officer's life has been arrested; NOT surprsingly, he has a LENGTHY arrest record. WHY was he out on the streets? WHY was he not behind bars? How many more brave police officers (and innocent citizens) must die in cold blood at the hands of human animals who should have been rotting behind bars long ago? Between the lax gun laws and the increasing numbers of highly-disturbed individuals armed with guns, our everyday lives are now at the point where we cannot even step out to go to the store, grab a bite to eat, or hop aboard a bus or a train, without wondering if we will live to see ourselves returning to our homes? IMHO, ONLY when a gun-related tragedy hits the family of a prominent gun advocate will we FINALLY see a trend to STRICT......VERY strict.......gun laws. My nephew just recently retired from over 30 years on the force (here in NJ), and I thank God every day he never met with any crazed gunman, while serving the community with bravery and dedication. Please, dear God.....let some SANITY come to light.......far too many innocent people have alrady lost their lives so needlessly..... "Live long and prosper".
There was a shooting at Michigan State Monday. 3 killed 5 wounded. It's getting hard to hear people over to chatter of gunfire in this country.
I know there are good cops that mean well and serve AND protect. I tend to see many others as either bullies, control freaks, military rejects, greedy multiple pensioners, racists, drugged on meth, angry, manipulative, or worse, like sadists, murderers, racketeers, criminal in many ways. Uh that's why these guys become cops or politicians.
Cops are PEOPLE, therefore, you are BOUND to find officers who, like many folks in the general public, are LESS than honest, LESS than decent, LESS than scrupulous. Most certainly, there are TOO MANY "bad" cops, I think we can all agree on that point. My nephew just retired from the force as a LT., after some 30 years of service. He was far from racist, far from corrupt, as decent a man as they come. We are all, understandably, so very proud of him and his many years of achievements. He, himself, admitted to me that "bad" cops give ALL "good" cops a BAD name, which, of course, is totally unfair, and taints every member of the force........ "Live long and prosper"
