Ever notice how we all fall into different body types and while each person is unique, there appears to be a limited number of basic "designs" that are present across all races. for instance I get stuff from The Pirate Bay sometimes and this girl in one of the ads is almost an exact body double for my wife from the neck down, at least when she was a little younger; So how many different plans are there? I'm guessing that it is actually relatively small with maybe a couple dozen types.
I notice it especially with facial characteristics. There aren't 2 faces the same but you know you have people that have the same kind of symmetry or asymmetry, the same kind of nose or jaw (or combination). The most disturbing about this (but very human) is that we are attributing a kind of being to certain reoccuring blueprints. Such as a person with a symmetric face is usually perceived as more trustworthy... for no good reason really
Yes, I catch myself doing exactly that on numerous occasions. I usually just laugh at my own silly arbitrary "boxes" I use to categorize people. The internal dialogue usually ends with "LOL, Nox, you are such an ass sometimes."
Well, there are three different body types- ectomorph, mesomorph, endomorph. And there are seven different face types- oval, round, square, diamond, heart, pear, oblong. I'm actually really good at noticing when people look alike and have similar facial structure. In other words, I'm good at finding people's doppelgangers and celebrity look-a-likes.
you mean limited range of genetic variation within the species? that's kind of one of those self answering things isn't it? i mean the range of any species is that of fertile reproductive capacity. kind built into the definition of what a species is, last time i checked. sapience and certainly sentience, have no such limits.
Well, you can keep your wife, and I'll make do with the girl in the pic. My plans are to teach her how to shave her legs right, and then fuck her brains out. But then, I don't understand why you need to know that....
So did everyone just completely overlook my scientific explanation as to how many different body types there are and just focus on this chicks ass..?
Yeah. Back to science. I was talking to one of our patients about this today… learning our exact heritage by submitting our dna for genome testing. I'm really interested in doing this, I just need to find a good lab that isn't too expensive.
Yeah, I learned this stuff, too, about the 3 different body types...but I always called them picnic, athletic and leptosemastetic(?SP) Let's see...Marilyn Monroe was a picnic.... Cindy Crawford.....athletic and Audrey Hepburn the other...for ex.
I think there are facial archetypes just like there are social and personal archetypes. but of course they can be distorted and their nature is in flux, however some facial archetypes seem to always be present. Except the general way people look over time and over population increase changes. I always wonder what people actually looked like irl in times well before the camera
I have always wondered about what people looked like and how they perceived eachother in other times, but if you look into it you can get a pretty good idea! Thank our ancestors for the urge to draw and paint
Yes, I do think that "blueprints" tend to repeat themselves. For instance a gene for hair type might also have effects on foot shape etc. Also, most people are the mix of different racial groups - not just black, white, oriental etc. 1000s of yrs ago it would be "Celts" or "Alpinids"(people from the Alps) or various Turkic races(which came from near China, not Turkey!) I think certain genes seem to dominate over others. Also, only 100 years ago, different parts of Britain would have their own look. Because people rarely left their village over their whole lifetime. Its strange, I've always lived in England, and I don't think I've ever seen anyone who looks massively like me, who's English. But if I see Russians over in Europe I think "that person's got the same eyes as me", or "their arms are just like mine". Once again, certain genes expressing themselves. I remember 2 people who looked exactly the same, had never met, and lived 150miles away. Strange thing was, they had the same 1st name, and the exact same personality.
