I scored a big fat zero, but the questionnaire is BOGUS. Nothing about sex & drugs, (I'd score zero on those, too). Most of the hippies I know were apolitical--i.e., no rallies and protests. Of course, there were Yippies, and they looked a lot like hippies. Then there are the important things, like Peace, Love and Understanding. There, I think I can hold my own, but they aren't on the test. There are lots of rightwing Trumpsters who would score pretty high on your hippie scale. Homeschoolers, anti-vaxers, do not wear masks? Hmmmmmm.
Didn't grow my own food as I didn't own any land, but helped in my mother's garden. Off course pot can be grown in a pot on a windowsill. Didn't know what non GMO food was. Cloth diapers once we had kids. Don't know what baby wear is. Chemtrails? Who cared about vapor trails? Never heard of chemtrails back then. Home school kids? Nah. Barefoot, sure. Classic rock? Well it wasn't classic rock back then. Never heard of big government back then either. Essential oils? Don't believe they existed then. Must not have been essential. Public Topfreedom? What's that? Rallies and protests, Sure. Don't know what grounding is either. Only hugged trees to avoid falling down. We all welcomed vaccines. I remember the March of Dimes collections at the movie theaters. No none of that home birth stuff, my wife wanted drugs! Alternative news was the music and underground newspapers. Didn't watch much TV back then. Most homes only had one. Microwaves were just coming into being in the late 60s early 70s. Pretty expensive, but the ones in the college dorm were great to put tin foil in and watch spark and smoke and stuff like that. Anti circumcision? WTF? Masks? Like Zorro? Left job over a dress code? You didn't have to leave, you wouldn't get hired in the first place. Breast fed. My breasts never made any milk. Why wouldn't I own closed shoes? Am I an idiot? (Don't answer that question) Henna tattoos? I didn't know what henna was. Camping, Sure is that a hippie thing?
I want to be connected with nature too, but still respect science. And as far as homeschooling goes, theoretically it does have some advantages over mass teaching. But of course the vast majority of homeschoolers are right wing ideologists who don't believe in s-e-* education until the wedding night, or that pi equals anything other than 3 (look it up!).
