A long time ago, I got my VW Jetta up to 110mph.
It was in Ontario Canada, between Detroit and Buffalo which at the time had 'no posted speed limit'

most motorcycles in UK are sports bikes or sports tourers, there are harleys ect. but not that common, Yamaha R1, Honda fireblade, Suzuki GSX1000R , BMW 1000RR and all sports bikes like this are usually restriced to 186 miles per hour, to see motorcycles doing over 100 mph is quite common in uk, maximum speed limit is 70 but if you get caught its serious, if you got caught doing 150 probably 2 years jail, but everybody still does it, you have to know where it's safe and where nobodys about,

130 in an early 60's four door. They lied about hp back then. Only did that once. Even with lap belts, a crash would have been a mess. All steel dash and doors. Padding was a few years in the future.

As I recall, a Georgia State Trooper once mentioned something about 120 MPH in a '69 Camero .

Over 120 in a 71 Dodge charger back in the 1980s. I let off as I was coming up a hill, and met a state trooper on the other side. Got a warning for doing 75 in a 65mph zone.

there's is actually an app on my phone tracking that metric.

Microsoft's "family" app will tell me (and whoever is shared with it) how many times I left the house, where I went, and how fast I drove there. Good times...

130+ in an old Plymouth Satellite

Had my old late 70s Z28 in that speed neighborhood too, but unsure of how fast, as the speedo only registered 85. But the pedal was to the metal for a couple minutes afterwards, and the car felt pretty light in the handling department. Lol

And my neighbor, who was dogging me behind my Z, I lost him in maybe 15 seconds. Later he was like "damn, dude how f'n fast were you going?
