weve had no rain here in 2 weeks.. we had to truck water in from the pond today to fill the cistern.. it holds about 1700 gallons and we were down to 200.. now watch itll rain for a week steady.. never fails..
it's pretty fuckin dry. in fact, it's dry enough that people throwing their ciggs into the bark are causing the bark to catch and smolder
its gettin that way here.. we normally get 72 inches of rain a year.. usually the average here for the last 2 weeks is about 2 inches,,.. an weve had NONE!! kinda sucks bein we rely on rain water for our potable water.. at least we have a spring fed pond and a 275 gallon tank and a 5 horse power pump.. or wed be really dirty hippies..
I think even with the all the rain some have seen in the last 48 hours its still far too dry out and shall be a rough summer if this trend keeps up.
here in central ohio we've been having perfectly pleasant weather. not raining all the time, but enough. nice and warm and sunny and humid....
was that way here up untill 2 weeks ago,,.. an now its dry as piss.. we have MAJOR repairs to be done on the driveway before the gathering.. hell i can barely get in an out.. so if it comes down to it,, we are gonna spend a day wetting it down have it graded,, then spend a day wetting it down and packing it.. joy joy..
It's so dry that the water companies are giving us warnings because of the drought Who would have thought this could happen in England..
blah bah humbug.. i moved here as a homestead fer rain,, an clouds,, an humid somewhat temperant climate.... fuck this sunshine shit.. i want my 72 inches of rain a year..
there's a drought in freaking england??? apparently we're getting everybody else's rain here. it's supposed to be wet in the pnw, but this is bordering on ridiculous.
we haven't had any rain here for awhile, but its not that dry. Nothing unusual for summertime anyways....
