truth is, you don't know and what does it matter? if you call yourself a hippie, you're a hippie and there's nothing anyone can do about it. for me, it's all about being INDIVIDUAL. there's no pressure to wear certain things, think the same way as anyone else, not really. It's all about going with the flow. be individual, but not in a big group of individuals who are all so individual they're the same.
hippie isn't a label, it's a term for people with no label.

I think this forum got misunderstood. What I really ment is why do people see people in tye dye and sandles and call them a hippy? What characteristics do people have to be able to be called a hippy? .
