How do you know a Woman is Interested in you ?

Introduction

I thought I would start a thread I did around 5 years ago on another forum site and to see if things have changed somewhat.

I was a body language coach in my former role at a major UK clearing bank and taught body language skills to pass on to new staff joining the bank. This was to make them more at ease and in control of a business meet up situation with a customer .Many of these skills are adoptable to the dating environment potentially finding that partner . Its true to say women are more adept at this skill than most guys and my current partner used them on me. So if the women are better at using them ,then guys need to be prepared in knowing how to read them otherwise ships in the night comes to mind . Some of the body language traits are involuntary as well and these need to be watched for .

This thread is not all about body language and eye contact there are many other things and behaviours to do or watch out for.

 

I will kick off with one ,I get very frequently .

This is one normally reserved for the busy bar at weekends especially on a Saturday night in the UK. For the none UK people this is the Big Night out of the week and even in times of cost of living rises . The old saying "Be there or be square" comes to mind .

Anyway going back to yesterday( and yes it was Friday ) ,I walked in the busy bar and with my partner ( having a partner does not make a big difference but it should! ) and sat down . It didnt take too long before a brunette amongst a group of ladies enjoying cocktails was looking in my direction. I decided to check her out very loosely by walking to the bar in her direction just to confirm. Yes her eyes followed me as I walked towards her heading for the bar . That is one true sign that someone has an interest in you . If you are still unsure then try moving out of her eyeline and sit or stand to the left of right of where you previously was and see if her eyes locate you in your new position . A tip here is not to make this too difficult by moving too far away as she may think you have gone.

 

Hair Twirling

This first involuntary one is one for girls with medium and long hair . Candy will be sitting on her hands when she reads this lol .Women stroke their hair and twirl it around their fingers quite often when they have an interest in a guy . This can also be in conjunction with the trait above . This they often do unconsciously while talking to someone they like. or in many cases seen someone they like and is exciting them . Preening the hair not only makes it appear better groomed, but it also draws attention to the hair since our eyes are attracted to movement. Guys they just cant help it and it is a sure sign that they like you and if your talking to them ,its a sure sign they enjoy your company .

In business it could have a slightly different meaning . Sometimes its seen as someone hiding something or not telling the truth . So there is perhaps a slight difference here between dating and business body language

 

The very first girl I ever asked out on a date at the age of 13, I had the upper hand because one of my sisters told me this girl in her class had a huge crush on me. Armed with that info I was 100% confident that she would say yes, and she did

Throughout High School it was the same thing one of my 3 sisters would give me the latest info and I would act accordingly

Once I was on my own, I figured it was going to get tougher, but it wasn’t, walking around in my Air Force uniform it was like moths to a flame. This one girl approached me and said “I have a car, a trailer, and a boat, but no money for gas, I had the money for gas.

When I was in college it was like shooting fish in a barrel,

I hope I don’t sound too arrogant because that’s not what I’m leading up to - up to this point in my life it was easy because I never had to try

I am like yourself. I dont have to try . Its not being arrogant its just some guys have the looks . I am still doing modelling work at nearly 60 and never thought that would happen .
.
But my aim with this thread is to level the playing field a little if that makes sense as I found many of my mates are clueless when it comes to body language . I had to literally shove one guy onto a girl for that reason. I could read her body language but he couldnt .

This is one you will not find in any books or dating tips . It happened to me last night and many times before . It sometimes form part of a woman's strategy to get your attention and normally in conjunction with her following you with her eyes previously .

The Staged Accident

Now for this to work for the lady it is assumed that there are gentlemen out there who will come to her aid lol . This is usually a last resort to get your attention and one that is acted out normally in a busy bar.

Picture the scene. A busy bar . A lady has been watching you for sometime but your kind of ignoring her advances so far or reluctant to come and chat with her . So she gets up leaves her drink conveniently behind with her friend . She makes a circuitous detour to the ladies via your domain . She looks for your foot or someone elses close by and fakes a trip and starts falling. Now a natural reaction for a guy is to prevent her falling . This is her intention ,she wants you to place an arm around her waist to prevent her falling . I have to say just be careful what you grab to prevent her falling ! . Having done that and "saved" her she can then break the ice by saying thank you and start a conversation . You in turn ask her is she all right etc. Then a conversation develops as a result . BINGO .

A devious strategy indeed

 

Another one for a busy bar

"Thou shall not pass "

I get these very often in a busy bar at weekends . Some are not intentional but some are . Again especially if she had been watching you for sometime . Ask my wife when I met her about this one lol .

Basically you want to go the the Gents or the bar to get a drink and you may find a lady has taken one step backwards from her group of friends to block your way .

So you need to get pass right ? You have 2 options . You can say "Excuse me please" and she will move and probably answer you back , again as a possibility to start a conversation with her .

The other option is to gently move her in a bit towards her company of friends to get passed. This she actually likes just as much . Now the golden rule when you are forced to touch somebody whilst out socialising is never touch anyone below the waist otherwise you may get a couple of doormen frog marching you out .

My rule here is if its a guy- shoulder s and a couple of friendly pats as I walk past.

If its a woman my hands gently go on her waist to get passed and then I say "Excuse me please" . This is intentional so I dont rub against her . Many times a conversation develops as she usually responds with "Hi " and smiles . Again your cue to start a conversation.

A very common female manuver! We have a friend of many years that postions herself so I'll touch her shoulder as I pass behind her.

 

That is true but it also shows that the modern female is far more active in the dating game and are now taking the initiative . Gone are the days when they just waited to be asked

 

It used to be easy when I was young and ---uh--uh--decent looking. Even in my 50s, I would get women as young as teenagers flirting with me. Of course mother and father took care of that. That is-mother nature and father time.
