I don't get that many eyes in my pre-packaged steak.

But all in all, most animals have their eyes on the sides of their head. It's a little hard to establish direct eye contact with both of their eyes at the same time.

Raising an animal for months or years in cage that is not even large enough for them to lie down in is a bit more cruel than a lion mauling its prey to death, in my opinion.

The fact that humans have hands and houses and complex language, education, transportation systems, etc sets them apart from other animals, whether or not you believe this makes them superior or inferior to them.

Personally, I could not kill an animal to eat it, even if I was starving.. I'd just eat plants. I couldn't even kill fish, or shells.. yet, I do eat seafood, why because.. I don't even know. I'm not gonna be a hypocrite and say I don't eat meat cause I'm against killing for meat - since I eat fish, fish is a kind of meat.. I just don't eat meat cause I don't like it, it makes me sick..

However I don't think that killing animals for food is necessary or ever was. Meat is actually really unhealthy if you eat a lot of it all the time.. especially cow. Besides as far as taste goes, since some people just love the taste and texture of meat, with all the advanced chemistry nowadays we can recreate the taste and texture of meat with no animals.. so why go on and raise them to eat them?

It's barbaric if you want my humble opinion.

well, to get colon cancer or.. some other shit.. might as well let go of the meat idea.

Morning Star fake meat tastes pretty good and is not bad for you. It's mostly tofu - tofu is natural. Now I don't know if it tastes exactly like meat..

make sure your dairy and meat are hormone and antibiotic free and preferably fed all natural diets. most animal feed now is made with GM crops..

i personally wouldnt eat fish unless it was farm raised either..

oh yea I only eat bio/organic anyways. and while I'm in Spain I'm not worried about my fish. I believe GM fruits/veggies/grains are not done here yet.

I haven't eaten red meat or chicken for about 4 months now. But my iron went really low, so I have to look at my diet.

I eat fish maybe once or twice a week.

I don't preach to people not to eat meat, so I don't expect people to preach to me about eating meat, or in the opposite direction, not eating fish.

Your diet is a personal choice.

yes seriously it will give you plenty of iron. they actually recommend it for pregnant women..

there really is no better cookware than a properly seasoned piece of cast iron. they heat evenly and are IMO just as good if not better than any non stick surface cookware on the market.
