There's 37 members right now, how did they do that? Isn't that crazy?

 

Simple. Skip has "Member" set at 50 posts. As you know, it doesn't take long at all to get that many.

That was the OLD system. 100 was "Member" 1001 was "Senior Member".

Quite a few people here have died. The HF mortality rate seems to be usually high

i think it was some sort of illness, but i don't remember for sure.

on the mortality rate, i doubt that it's really that unusual. there have been a large number of members here, over a lot of years. people die over time, especially when you have such a large sample to start out with. a lot of members, especially in earlier years, were old hippies, who are getting up in years so some of them are likely to die off. and it also seems logical that forums would attract people in ill health, since it's an activity that they are still able to do and in some cases probably the easiest way for them to socialize.

 

It saddens me to think some old members never even got a chance to argue with me.
