Just wondering, I think we all agree we’ve probably been bullied or maybe disrespected by a person at some point in our lives? How do you usually deal with or handle people who are just 100% Flat out rude, disrespectful and mean? Would you maybe like hold a long grudge with this person and stay mad at them no matter what? Or maybe just ignore it and mind your own business and worry about your own problems and say I don’t need haters in my life?

    Welcome tp the site xbox.

I thought to move your post here... maybe more people will see it and respond!

I mostly just walk away from rude and disrespectful people myself... as an ancient crinkly old person.

Thanks for your feedback! Yeah, if it gets more responses from moving it, I’m 100% for that! Yeah, the problem with the rude/disrespect thing is it’s like when I’m at work? My Manager and co workers seem to all be that way? Just rude and disrespectful people? They won’t acknowledge me for anything good I do for the store? They always try and point out bad stuff and what I’m doing wrong there? Negative people, I swear!

I know it hard to ignore, but don't let them know it gets under your skin!

Sure, I’ll take your advice! As far as I know, they do want me to keep coming back into work so I don’t think they plan on just straight up letting me go? I’ve been with this same company for like 7 years now? I’m pretty much like Veteran and been there longer than the rest of them have? But I’m not like “in charge” of the store, that’s the manager? So it’s his call whether I keep working there or not I suppose?

No offence and I'm not being rude... If "everybody" is criticizing everything you do maybe it's not them. Are you doing your work properly and up to your capability? If you are, then, yeah... you got a bunch of assholes there. If you have room to improve in your quality of work, then it's not necessarily them that is the problem.

It sounds like what my husband went through before he was pushed into retirement, the just made him miserable until he wanted to quit ( I'm sure there's more to it) but in that case they could then replace him with someone who worked for less

as long as they're not in my face, they're welcome to their own living hells and i have no wish to be them.
when they're not around, i'm able to feel sorry for them.

dealing? i try to avoid any place i might encounter them. i find most of my amusements at home. though of course i go to stores and ride public transportation to get there.
i know i could cocoon myself even more, if i had the cash flow to do so, just don't know how i could do that and be able to do so at the same time.

this however has the unfortunate side effect, that i no longer know anyone very well in real life.

I don't find people to be rude to me, so I don't see that as a problem. I'm sure that it has happened--but I just don't remember it.

That’s the best response. It really irritates them.

I like eye contact for that. Why? Well, it introduces a common expectation into the non-verbal vernacular.

Not threatening, no... not like that. But introducing... the expectation.

In customer service (something many working people are at least vaguely familiar with) we have a tradition of excellence, professional courtesy, and most importantly appropriate non-verbal communication.

They figure it out; if not like right away then when they go home.

One can express a lot with one's eyes and face.

I miss that ability with all these masks.

But I hope that ends sometime.

I don't. I don't take shit from people. Society has become real disrespectful towards one another. It's all across ALL ages.

I noticed it in the states last time I was there...

Went to a Target to shop, near the border.

Young ones stalking around with fury in their eyes... get outta the way!!! Store clerks ignoring older people, walking away when asked a question... etc.

Check out line went pretty well. Nice cashier! Not chatty, but we said hello and such and I quickly got my stuff in the cart then paid by debit card... pretty quick. The whole time this young chick (next in line) who looked and dressed like a whore from LA kept muttering and swearing under her breath about OLD people and quit YAKKING... enough so the cashier glared at her!!!

I ran as the bitch erupted in screaming and insults... got the hell out of there FAST!

I totally understand why people are quitting their jobs rather than putting up with this.

i wish i could say they don't annoy me, but they do.
i wish i could say i know an absolutely reliable way to forestall them, but i don't.

i do know enough to not expect everyone to be considerate,
so its not entirely the end of the world that such people exist,
but why they want to live in the kind of world they create by being that way,
    is beyond me.

obviously they think they are getting something out of it,
when all they are really doing is shaming themselves,
and they really really don't need to.

all i can do is tell people they don't need to keep shaming themselves.
