This whole thread is ignorant and uninformed. The OP would definitley love it in jail Plenty of genius going down in there. Then he wont have to bitch about being more mentally evolved than your average jerk.
Not until my girl gets off work Stig, you just need a bitch slappin man, the world is fucked up and you need to just get over it. Complaining about it does nothing but make you appear unexperienced and unaware. NOT saying you are, but that's what this thread makes you out to be.
Eh, nothin more then a drunken rant from 3am months ago. Not sure how it got pulled up to the top... try not to read to much into it. - Stig
Drugs are bad, mmmmkay. Drugs are an illegal narcotic substance and that makes them bad, mmmkay? They make you feel low and depressed. Marriageuwanna is bad, mmmkay. It is the getway drug to harder stuff, mmmmkay. And that is why it is bad, mmmkay. LSD is bad, mmmmkay. It makes you go insane and the Bible said it is Satan's tool for trapping people in hell, mmmkay. It makes you more aware at what government is doing to society and that is bad, mmmmkay. Because the Bible said that if you defy government no matter what you will burn in hell for eternity, mmmkay. You may reach enlightenment, but is it worth spending an eternity in hell, mmmkay? MDMA is bad, mmmkay. It makes you too euphoric and happy and can bring you closer to others, mmmkay. That is just plain wrong, mmmkay. Don't ask why, mmmkay. Coke and meth is okay, mmmmkay. They somewhat represent the gangsta side we all loved during alcohol prohibtion, mmmkay. Alcohol and tobacco is good, mmmkay. Contrary to popular belief alcohol and tobacco is not a drug because it isn't an illegal narcotic substance, mmmkay. Now what is great about alcohol is that it kills your brain cells so that you won't question the system and remain blissfully unaware. And it makes you beat your woman, mmmkay. WHAT BLOODY FUN, mmmkay! Tobacco is good because it kills you before you become useless to the corperations, mmmkay. And religion is the best; especially Christianity and Islam, mmmkay. These religions teaches you how to blindly obey authority and gives you the balls to kill people who are different than you, mmmkay. That is a good thing, mmmkay. But some religions are bad; especially Hinduism and Buddhism, mmmkay. They teach tolerance and understanding, mmmkay. This is bad, mmmkay. You are suppossed to be intolerant to anyone who is the enemy: anyone not of your own, mmmkay. They also teach non-violence, mmmkay. Just look at how gay Ghandi looked all the time, mmmkay. And if you are white and follow any of this eastern crap you will burn in hell for eternity, mmmkay. End of story, mmmkay.
bad or good is a matter of labels, depends on your beliefs, never give up enlightening yourself by gaining knowledge...........one thing for sure is I have met a lot of drug users who are ' know-it-alls '.
So what is your suggested course of enlightenment HonorSeed? You make the assertion that drugs are deceptive(which is not entirely untrue) but you don't really mention what IS the way. Even among Buddhists, and Taoists there are so many schools of thought... Is there one right path? Also, it should be noted that enlightenment isn't a continous state, or at least many seekers of it do not believe so. Enlightenment can be extremely fleeting, and unless one dedicates one's life to sitting around a temple in the mountains or lives in some kind of intentional community, maintaining a continous state of enlightenment is extremely difficult. Worldy distractions do all that they can to distract us from 'nirvana.' This forum would be a great example of a distraction. By what course of action do you live a completely enlightened life? In your opinion what is enlightenment? Personally, I don't believe that LSD = enlightenment, niether for that matter does meditation yoga or any other practice. They are simply channels by which human beings access the idea. Timothy Leary once gave LSD to Buddhist monks in Tibet, and their take on the drug was that it helped one reach a level of enlightenment which takes years of meditation for most people. Would you say those monks were decieved? Further more there is a branch of Buddhism, which is not widely discussed in the west, which does focus on the use of plants and herbs in addition to the use of meditation practice to reach enlightenment. Is this ancient practice wrong or deceptive? Are its followers misguided? What it all comes down to is that LSD is not going to induce enlightenment in any body. However for those who use it in the context of seeking that experience, it has the possibility of being an extremely valuable tool. The realizations reached on LSD can infact be extremely long lasting and persist into ones daily life. In my own search to modify and reconstruct my own reality to the designs I wish, the nature and structure of mental programing has become much more clear and easier to understand. I have been able to recover lost childhood memories and understand their impact on my behaviors and mental constructs in present day life and through that understanding have been able to make change! In the months since a period of about 3 months where I use LSD on a more than weekly basis my life has been more meaningful than before that time. Although I do not know where I'm going; I feel more sure about the trail that I'm taking there. I guess you could say I have more trust in 'god.' Also many of my irrational fears have been suspended and my reliance on other drugs such as pot and alcohol have decreased. The LSD itself did not precipitate this change, but coupled with meditation and a desire for change it was a key factor in the rewiring of my brain. Honorseed, perhaps using LSD and other drugs was not the path for you, but would you have found your other path without that experience? Would your mind have been opened to the possibility of something different from mainstream ignorance without its influence? These are important questions. Don't take them lightly. -MOR P.S. Do the great teachers push ideas? Or do they ask the questions which incite ideas..? Socretes is my savior.
The questions you ask MOR would require more info about myself than I am willing to give. I prepared myself for enlightment before I did a drug in 1997 for many years with meditation. The drug I took one month apart for several years to recover from the visions each time I did it. It was not LSD. I was enlightened before I did the drug. What came upon me was the deceptive energy clouds each time. They represented group entities and individuals of living beings whose essence started slowly changing over 7 years taking that drug. When I was first enlightened at age 16 I was telpathically connecting to people whom I helped with their fears. By 2004, the manifestation of animal instinct like fear was forced upon me from people telepathically. I still helped and tried to help all I met teaching them in their spirit form those qualities which I believe God owns the Universe with in the destiny of our lives. The approach to my physical being by dark clouds and visions of beings brought fear. Now whether or not that fear from others was the fear of relating to drugs or me on a drug remains to be understood. I do not know why I was forced to feel fear from other living people. It is as if the fear of the whole people of earth causes suffering and misery and hastens death to the individual. I consider this part of enlightenment which is an ongoing experience of life. I do not consider taking the drug I took to have been necessary to understand that all other peoples fear effects everyone individually causing death eventually. The problem comes from peoples' belief that God teaches us using fear. God teaches us not to fear with compassion like I did before during meditation before using the drug. I was able to help a few visions with their fears on the drug. When they stopped trying to create fear on me and calmed, the rest of the whole changed them back. There was a smell around this area like the air had been electrically incinerated when that happened. It was like all the people of the world burned the ones who changed to a contented acceptance of my beliefs of sharing and goodwill, peace and harmony, love and happiness. The attempt to change my belief increased with each new vision time. I had to go 4 months apart to recover physically from each time I took the drug. I had to bring my spirit in balance with my body to heal myself. I had all the teachings for enlightenment and a calm happy lifetime before I did the drug. I needed no reinforcement, no more self-confidence to believe in my faith. One cannot be enlightened to a path of peace by being scared to that path of continual healing. The paths those people take are to listen to what is said about them after their death or the path of protection from fear. When the spirit leaves the body a life is not measured by the creator on what others thought about you. It is not measured by how well you protected yourself from the fear caused by all the other people on earth, either in person or telepathically. It is measured by the way you heal yourself because each and everyone of you is a teacher. You are all gifts to this place. You owe your gratitude to no authority.........no monk, no president, no judge, no roll model. Everyone is unique, their concept of enlightment and God is unique. Some people agree LSD causes an opening to accept enlightenment. What it caused with me was an opening to accept others imagination telepathically. From that I have to believe that enlightenment is like imagination. So what if you were or are able to imagine in your mind without the use of LSD? What wonderous, magnificient deeds and actions would you take to help people, to entertain the world, to heal the world? It is true that the drug I took opened up even more possibilities in this direction than the 2 amusement parks I designed in my early twenties. But LSD use only just a small part of enlightenment and if it is the only way to enlightenment it is not enough to inspire a person to do anything that helps others. All it does is give a temporary feeling of being in bliss, which not the same as living a lifetime of enlightenment. It is like doing what a monk does. It is not a social action to sit and chant alone reaching into the mind for a feeling, those feelings must motivate a person to actions for interpersonal relations of all kinds for you or myself to be enlightened. Not just actions of kind words and charitable deeds, the actions include a covenant of grace with all you do whether it be work or play, either for fun or monetary profit. The worth of your presence is based on what you do in someone elses presence, not just the words you speak or the gifts you bring. The worth of a whole lifetime is based on actions that bring upon another person the reaction of happiness and self-confidence. Yes you can use LSD to bring on happiness for yourself, but if that is as far as it goes, you are like the monks who must try everyday to feel enlightened. The path is your choice, either try to feel enlightened or live an enlightened way of life. Seems to me a lot of people are living an enlightened way of life and don't know it. What would a monk have you do teaching by his example? Sit, chant, live an austere daily existence eating very little but rice waiting for a handout? What if everyone did that? Who is to say going to a pizza joint, slopping down a massive pizza followed by a pitcher of beer, howling at the moon, telling the stars you love them in the middle of the night and petting your dog is not the path of enlightenment? Do what you wanna do. I have no saviors only equals.
