how do you all feel about preventive banning?

preventative banning is banning someone on the hunch that they may violate forum rules in some future post so instead of waiting for that to happen, ban them now so that doesn't have to happen?

 

No.. I'd say warn them and keep an eye on them.. maybe they just made a bad start and have to adjust a little.. like a over enthousiastic puppy that keeps knocking things over but that ends up sleeping at your feet after getting your newspaper

Bug Man has been banned over and over and keeps comming back with slightly different names. Apparantly they can't IP ban him, maybe he uses a public PC or he has a dynamic IP address or something. He and I hardly ever cross paths so I'm gonna stay out of this, although I do have my opinion on the matter

 

Some of my other ideas are like on Fridays, Interval Illusion seems to pretty consistently have a bad day from not taking her meds or something and on that day seems to have some pretty outrageous posts so I was thinking about banning her every Friday. Ol' Hippie 54 is a really happy guy but on Saturdays he's a little too happy and so he brings everybody up which leads to an all around let down on Sundays when everyone starts coming down so I was thinking of banning him on Saturdays. And too, somedays there are some names I don't recognize but the way the wind is blowing when I read their posts suggests I should ban them on the spot. Hope everyone is ready for the new changes.
