I am also confused as to why she isnt paying for her own room or at least half of a shared room. Sharing a room with a platonic friend shouldnt be a big deal if you guys are comfortable with each other, but going on a trip paid for completely by your platonic friend is weird.
if you're asking how to make it sound less creepy then it's already creepy and you already know why. my advice is not to spend so much money when your finances are tight on a girl who will likely tell you "lets just be friends". save yourself the trouble man.
Yet the relationship is platonic, and she has made it clear that she doesn't want to be any more than friends? Sounds like she is taking sweet advantage of you. Lucky girl. If I was spending time with a platonic, male friend, I would never let him pay. I wouldn't want to give him the wrong impression.
Yeah it wasn't weird until you said you are paying for everything. This is coming from a girl, she should be paying her own way, especially if she is a platonic friend.
i'm paying for her because shes a freshman without a job and i figured this would be a fun trip to go on after my graduation
^^ Fair enough. Personally, I would never let another man pay, unless I wanted to give him the impression that I was interested in him. That is very, VERY nice of you to take her to Disneyland. I am jealous, to be honest. I've been trying to convince my husband for several years to take me to Disneyland. It doesn't help my case that the Canadian dollar is shit right now. Have a ton of fun.
Except for her accepting a trip paid by some dude, a platonic friend she's known for a couple of months
All the Canadian HF members should meet up at the least shitty theme park we've got. It's probably the west Edmonton mall, but that makes me sad because I want outdoor rides!
I would opt for the one room for two nights....instead of having to move again the next day ....are you secretly hoping she will fall in love with you some day or are you just a nice guy? I know not everything is about sex, nor should it be.
I don't have the money right now but last time that I did have the money I took a friend on a flight from Atlanta to Baltimore to see a concert. I'd only known him a few months. Another time, the same friend and I drove my car from Atlanta to New Jersey to see a concert. That's the kind of stuff I do if I have the money.
I'd LOVE that. What about Paramount Canada's Wonderland? Is that park still open? Or 6 Flags in Montreal....
