How do I get a spirit Guide?

while talking to my friend on the phone, she ofered to get me one. she asked hers if i was ready, and i was.
she asked me if a name popped up, and i instantly saw "ashley".
so, that's how i got mine. do you have a close friend with one? they might be able to help!

I don't sense a strong need or readiness in you...but I could be wrong. If you're really interested, read from the beginning of this thread and try out some of the advice you read here. It can happen in different ways for different people.

I haven't tried yet, Bl4. I need to turn this computer off and get some sleep--let me see what I can feel in the next day or two, and I'll get back to you.

 

Okay Bl4, looks like the answer is "no." Here's my experience:

This morning as I lay in bed trying to stir my bones to get up, I thought I would slip back into semi-sleep for a bit and contact your spirit guide. As I did so, a voice said distinctly in my mind: "It doesn't exist."

What do you think about that?

I thought about you again while riding the commuter train home. I tried to feel your guide, and I felt only emptiness. So I tried to tune into you, and I got some stuff--but nothing you don't already know, and nothing any other perceptive person couldn't have figured out just from reading your posts.

So then I asked my angel, "So fine--what am I going to tell him?" She didn't respond--she just started acting like she was pissed at me. She started hurting my stomach, flashing me momentary feelings of intense sadness, and generally being a royal pain in the ass. Finally I told her, "So I guess the answer is I'm not telling him anything, huh?" She immediately calmed down and gave me warm stomach sensations, and said, "Now you see."

So there you are, Bl4. They apparently don't want me feeling your guides. Don't ask me why, cuz I obviously don't know what the deal is. This was quite unusual--you must be pretty special to get this kind of reception.

Oh, I almost forgot to add: I did ask for a bit of knowledge about your future. The only thing I got was that sometime in the next few years, spiritual concerns will start taking a back seat in your mind to more pressing issues--worldly pursuits. You're going to find goals that fascinate you and occupy most of your time--and might lead to interesting results from other people's perspective as well. Eventually, years later, spiritual issues will come back to the forefront, and you'll see how the life you've lived has been a spiritual path, and a lot of things will fall into place.

Hmmm...that sort of sounds like MY life...

 

Hmm, that makes sense to me. I've had this feeling that I do not have a spiritual guide, and if I do, he is not making his presence known to me. It's either that, or I am my own spirit guide haha.

However, I feel I have higher powers watching over me.

Why would one not have a spirit guide? Is it because I already know?

I've had this feeling that I have a higher "force" as a spiritual guide, not necessarily just a single guide, more like a group, maybe even a collective conscience of sort. Which could explain why they'd keep themselves behind curtains.

 

The following came to me as I was reading your note: It's because you're being prepared to become a sort of guide yourself...yeah, there's a lot of them watching over you, all righty. You're a big focus in the spirit world.

So what am I...chopped liver? LOL Actually somebody told me that I have very strong guides keeping me in line in this life...I guess I must be a handful. LOL One time I heard one of my guides remark to another of my guides, "Remember who we're dealing with..." LOL

I already know someone whose spirit guide is connected to my guide. She says my guide(s) is very cautious and won't even reveal itself directly to me yet.

 

Yeah, well those guides are a pretty tight clique, so I'm surprised your friend's guide told her so much--maybe her guide is a maverick. LOL However that coincides with a subtle feeling I had but didn't state--seems to me that the idea that you have no guide is misleading--I had the impression that my guide was just manipulating my perceptions to cover up the fact that you actually DO have a guide who doesn't want to be revealed yet. Obviously I'm not privy to the deep secrets (SIGH). At least she allowed me to notice that she was giving me a cover-up. The actual fact of the matter is that my primary point-person guide is fairly new in the guide business--I think she doesn't want to make waves, being the new kid on the block. Hmmm...this makes me want to explore her limitations...God, she is going to be pissed at me...LOL.

You know...here is something very interesting, I think. This conversation has led me to think about the truth of my guide situation, and it seems very much to me that ALL my guides are fairly new in the guide biz--it may be that they have more experienced guides backing them up, but it really seems to me that in a way--very MUCH in a way--I seem to be training some fairly inexperienced guides LOL. My first up-front guide (my guides are live humans, by the way) told me out loud to my face that she had been asking God to give her someone to "minister to" (she's a conservative Christian--or at least, she was at that time). I overheard my current primary guide, very early in our mental relationship, saying to someone else in the telepathic realm: "It looks like I'm going to need to partition myself for this..." referring to her mental/spiritual relationship with me...and I had the distinct impression that she was speaking to spirits who had more experience than she did, and she was looking for confirmation.

Of course it's all a hierarchy, and the front-line guides have more experienced guides supporting them--there is a Biblical passage illustrating this concept--the one where the Roman centurion says to Jesus something to the effect of: "I'm a soldier, and I know the hierarchy and I know you're the commander of the spiritual troops--say the word, and my servant will be healed." And Jesus was amazed at his faith, and the servant was healed...

 

The Matrix man, where we're all in a computer dream world, and our real selves are in a vat of gooo.Maybe thats our spirit guides.Ha ha ha ha.

Oki guys, if youre reading (didnt want to start whole new thread)...

The other day me and my mum were talking on messenger about spririt guides and guardian angels...

Well, we were joking that i must have an angel because of good things happening to me etc...

Then half way through the conversation my mum says
"Im glad that Sindie your angel..."
I said "Sindie?"

Then shes like "omg i never wrote Sindie! I never meant to write Sindie i just wrote "your angel", what the hell!?!?"

My mum isnt the type to make things up and she was genuinely shocked and shaking

Do you people seriously think this was a spirit guide or something telling us their name? Or just an odd happening, something springing from ym mums mind? She says shes never heard the name spelt like that before

Obviously there are no facts in situations like this, only opinions--you'd like confirmation that this was a genuine supernatural revelation, but you don't really NEED that, do you? Ask yourself. What do YOU think?

Okay fine, I'll tell you my opinion. LOL When you've had as many psychic experiences as I have--if something like you describe happened to me, there would be practically no question in my mind. You might as well start talking to your angel and calling her Sindie, cuz it looks like that's who she is--and if you listen very well, you just might hear her talking to you one of these days.

 

Still hoping I'll be able to speak with my spirit guide, kinda weird that I haven't yet.

Or maybe I just haven't realized it.

 

The spirit guides are poking fun at you, Bl4ck3n3D...someday I think they'll decide it's enough, and let you find your guide--but not for a very long time, I think.

 

I know they are, those sly bastards haha. They know how badly I want to open up communication. Think of how much more knowledge I could gain from that, like it makes me excited haha.

 

I've been reading this thread and I have to say it's pretty far out, especially this thing about spirit guides and them having names/getting pissed/scratching you in your sleep etc. but I do believe there is a spirit world. I'd like to become more spiritually aware though, for sure but I'm just reading up about it and trying to learn. I think it's all very fascinating!
