How do I get a spirit Guide?

Beware "outside authority". There should be only one authority in your life and that is YOU. You can have friends that share their wisdom and help if you ask for it but bottom line is you are the Creator of your life and to put anyone above yourself is asking for trouble. There are beings living everywhere - on and off the planet. You will attract like frequency entities - so if you are feeling low - guess who you are going to pull in. There are controlling entities just like there are controlling humans. Your "best friends" are non-intrusive and very respectful of your space. They won't interfere unless you ask.

 

Is it possible to be one's own spirit guide?

 

I was on a spiritual quest. I had read in a book we all had spirit guides whether we believed it or not. I read I could "test" this by asking my spirit guide to give me a sign I would understand. Feeling a bit skeptical I did. My ego at this time being rather big, I thought ok I will accept a lightening bolt or something like that. So that night I asked. Five minutes.........nothing. Ok I thought. 10 minutes nothing. And that is where I gave up. I thought I have no "spirit guide" and rolled onto my side. That is when it happened. Someone or something carressed the side of my face. Did I believe this was my spirit guide? I spun around on my bed looking into the darkness. I saw and heard nothing. I actually got up and searched my whole entire apartment looking for who was there. I looked in the most illogical places. I found no one. Then I realized what had happened and then I apologized to my spirit guide and went from disbelief to almost a mad laughter. I may be crazy, as I question my sanity all the time, but my Guide is always there for me. I don't always like the answers............ As far as being your own spirit guide goes, is your higher self capable of being your spirit guide? Is my higher self my spirit guide? Only those more enlightened than me will have the answer. I honestly don't know.

 

Ultimately, you create your own reality and everything is a mirror. You have to create the idea of having a spirit guide to have the experience. There may be lots of playmates willing to fill that roll but you won't see it until you focus on it. Bottom line!

 

Once, i was very very desperate. I felt so trapped. I went down to the beach and wrote "Set Me Free" in the sand. A few hours later i was freed. Literally.

Now ive always assumed that was my higher self...but the idea it could be a different spirit is very interesting, and worth a long think about

Whichever it was, id like conact like that again. Direct contact. I mean i get the odd tiny tiny signal, but id really like to KNOW...you know...

Ive just asked for a sign and nothing has happened...ill stay on the look out though

 

You always have a direct channel to your higher power but mental chatter sometimes gets in the way. I go into the meditative state, exteriorize from mind and just watch it doing its gymnastics. Once I'm out of the thinking mind, I pay attention or listen. If I have a situation, I'll ask for guidance and be quiet and open to receive. The more you practice the more you get a handle on it. I had to separate out my parts - lower mind (monkey mind, circuitry), Higher Mind and Spirit - before I could integrate them and be working from wholeness. It's all just a point of view in the long run but "separation" from Source is the game we're investigating on this planet. As you play with it you will receive your own personal form of guidance. Everyone is unique.

 

one time i was driving and i was speaking to my spirit guide, and i asked 'him' to show me 'his' name. i already knew his name (paul or raul) from hearing it spoken in my head, but i asked 'him' if paul was really his name and a few seconds later a jerk in an SUV cut me off and on his bumper was a political sticker for somebody named 'Paul something-something' (he was republican btw lol)

no matter what, paul's always there for me when i need 'him', though. i just have to ask. i've only been in contact for about a year, but to me it seems that the harder you try and the harder you force things, the further you will be. for me if i just be easy and calm and just listen without pushing my own thoughts, communication opens.

 

im in a part of my life, where if i have a guide out there, i would like to contact it and talk to it , or find out some direction. i am a soul that is stuck at a fork and hasnt decided for a while, and i just really want to be able to make a decision about my life,. if you tell me what i should do, i will try it,. be by myself, light a certain candle and call for it???? will i know if they can hear me?? how do i contact it TODAY. what do i do??? please tell me ,

 

my advice probably won't make as much sense to you as some other answers to that question may, but i find the easiest way to communicate is to just sit still, pay attention, look around, both inside of yourself and outside of yourself. sometimes i ask my guide to just speak to me in my head. clear your head of all your thoughts and just sit down and ask. don't force the answers, keep your mind blank and wait for the answer to come to you. believe in what you are doing and don't doubt the presence of your guide.

i don't think being in a particular place or performing any sort of ritual would help. unless of course, it makes it easier for you to visualise what you are trying to do. but even then, it shouldn't really be necessary.

Talk to the stars or go for tarot cards. Personally I would go for personal spirit intution.

its wierd sense i absorbed all of your info and found mine. it seriously wasnt something i really believed in. but now, it was like he has been waiting forever and hes like "finally!!!" and really excited and full of positive energy!
