well you were clearly an inconvenience to your mother, and I was just suggesting that she should have followed your advice. you're basically the one saying that you should have been aborted.
It's likely the screaming kid in the store will grow up to become the brat-hating, annoyed adult one day.
Bitchiness is a form of selfishness in almost every instance. --- But public reading situations and loud noise is easily solved by carrying a pair of earplugs, which I do carry with me. That woman Melai encountered is really unhappy with her own planning because she didn't anticipate she might encounter the situation she did. Also there is various psychological exercises one can do to deal with loud noises. People deal with this if they try to sleep if their house is located near a railroad crossings, the brain blocks out the noise of the train going by so the person continues to sleep. The bitchy woman is undisciplined.
Usually when I see a kid throwing a temper tantrum in public it makes me want to laugh but I force myself not to, and just go on about my business because I know it must be embarrassing for the parent.
I should answer Samantha now. The first step would be to educate yourself on various points of view on the following: 1. Economic Theories (Keynesian economic theory, Austrian economic theory, and Trickle-down economic theory) I also highly recommend reading the U.S. Constitution, books on U.S. History by Dr. Eric Foner (there's a series of them, and he is the leading expert on U.S. Pre-and post- Reconstruction eras) I also recommend taking or re-hashing some notes from your old political science class days. Or read the textbook "The Struggle For Democracy 2012-2014 editions" published by PEARSON, author is Edward S. Greenburg. Also watch or listen to the news, NPR, and various websites that track and have archived voter turnout, results, and patterns since the beginning of American History. And be wary of getting too attached to any one particular political issue, lest you get fixated on it at the expense of the bigger picture.
Screaming kids....I usually look at the scenario and situation. If the child appears unhappy and sad, *I want to do something to help them....hold them or something....but would never intrude, so I mind my own business.....but if the child is a little older and is screaming because he/she can't have a toy he/she sees in the store or something, I am like WTF.....that child seems spoiled...but I just move on.....screaming children do not bother me really, and I am very noise sensitive. Wow, are we off topic here or what?
Your on my topic, honey bun. The people of the Gaza which I refer to as the Hamas when fighting Israel are factually confronting each others' neighbours. The fact is the short food supply for now didn't get answered to; further fact is we gotts' weight for Netanyahu to make the border crossing open to the trade. Of course, that's not fact for the rules are that Egypt cannot do the same as Israel does on a regular basis. Regular basis? was that a communication reality about the nature of thee two state solution? Can Gaza people move to Egypt regular? :2thumbsup:
Hey, in Mel Gibson's movie were those service workers or jail gaolers who were whipping Jesus Christ at the pillar? We've come a long way baby since the Viscount commercial.:daisy:
Not sure why I am bothering asking you this (since it is ol' abstract you ) but... What has that to do with my quote?
No it's a Virginia Slims cigarette commercial. And if you like, it has the slogan: YOU've come a long way baby.
all excellent points! I love NPR, PBS, Al Jazeera. do research on points that especially interest you, learn the situation from both sides! excellent post!
I really hope you're a bot and not a complete psycho, especially since now you're quoting and disagreeing with yourself. That's a whole new level of crazy.
Thanks for the neg rep, Sappho. Guess I touched a nerve when I suggested that when you are bothered in a store when a baby cries that you don't own the store and if you don't like it, you can leave said store. Anyways, I'm glad I have a bit more class than you and don't go around giving super annoying people like yourself (or anyone) neg rep. As for your comment for me to "get over myself"--- I could say the same to you obviously as I think your main issue in general from what I've seen of you on here with your fake ptsd and all your other oh so terrible issues .... is that you have a sense of entitlement. Maybe you'll grow up one day and maybe you won't. Oh well.
you can call my ptsd fake all you want, i know my professional diagnosis, and i shall hope you never have to go through what i have. it's quite rude to discount someone's pain. do you know me or what i've experienced? no you just attack me personally. i only repeated what you said.... let's keep on the thread topic, shall we?
Whatever, poseur. Funny you care about staying on topic now when you didn't care the whole way through this thread and just wanted to argue w people who have different opinions and views than you. But yea, I'm done speaking to you. If I'm going to interact with a baby I'd rather it be a cute baby under two feet tall.
i don't, partially from working in nursing, but mostly because in the foster system, as a ward of the court, they like to use kids as guinea pigs for all sorts of fun psychoactive drugs. I was on Lexapro for depression, which got rid of the depression but made me feel numb and unable to paint. Buspirone was too successful in alleviating my anxiety; i stopped caring at all about my grades and it made me fall asleep. I believe the PTSD because of the jumpiness, the night terrors, waking up screaming, and based on my experience being well, traumatic. i remember when i was first told PTSD i was skeptical because i thought PTSD was just flashbacks and crazy behavior, but my psychiatrist said it can manifest other ways. I think I'm definitely better about not being so jumpy, going into fight or flight so quick, etc. but i can't stand raised voices, fighting, etc.
My friend was telling me about her experiences in the mental health system as a teenager. She wasn't in foster care but the state had her committed and I don't think her mom really understood what was going on or knew how to stop any of it. At one point she was on like 7 different medications for depression, anxiety, and anti-psychotics. She was committed to a state facility as a 14 year old girl struggling with depression and she was in there with murderers and pretty heinous people. So if you were a part of both the mental health system and the foster care system.i actually dont doubt you have PTSD. This thread has not been on topic since page 1 haha
