Who denies science? or support torture? or invaded a country for no reason or makes the life of the poor harder? Please tell me that person.
Nobody chooses their skin colour, but they can choose to support a political party and the views that come along with that.
the blind to see was a judgement in my opinion....but again.......I respect the difference......I did not read the entire thread. Maybe I should have, huh? I can admit when I am wrong, as well.....I should stay away from politics altogether....when will I learn:? ever? probably not....
The GOP is full of climate change deniers, supports torture or "enhanced interrogation techniques" (other than john mccain), invaded iraq, and fought tooth and nail to prevent obama from bringing affordable health care to the most vulnerable americans (hence why you now have the dumbed down version that is "obamacare").
And? Is it right to prejudge someone? Is it right to hate some one based on something you don't know?
Knowing that you freely chose to join a political party that pushes policies that I despise tells me a lot about you. It tells me that you have an awful system of values. I don't think that is prejudice.
Because this "climate change" does not have full science behind it. The earth has not warmed in the past 12 years. The earth goes through natural cycles of heating and cooling proven with science. Water boarding is not torture. Our Marines are water boarded during training. The invasion was not for no good reason, the intel from America as well as 7 other countries and the UN said Iraq had WMD's. And yes Obamacare was and will be fought against because government run healthcare is not a viable option. Nothing the government does is an option as we see about medicare going bankrupt and the VA mess. The fight was not about insuring people who have none it was about government running it and making it a law that you had to buy INS. That is government going too far. People don't think that government should be in abortion and gay marriage then how can they support government making people buy health INS?
This is from sunflower or whatever..."Since I hate Republicans, I also read the Huffington Post and Salon.com everyday."
You don't know me or what I stand for. That is very much prejudice to PREJUDGE SOMEONE. That is the definition of the word. So thank you for making my point. My values are strong about life and liberty. I am very happy that I stand up for life, support the free market, support our military, support the constitution, support values that are caring and kind. You don't know what I do or what I do for other people. You don't know my role at my church, what I give to others.
Do no associate me with that 2 bit hack or a news station that I do not watch. It's amazing how much hate comes from the left.
He's not prejudging you---you've laid out your beliefs quite clearly. It's simple--you're a republican and all that that entails.
I think the best way to become informed on these issues is to research these things from various sources, not just the solid left or solid right leaning ones only. Hear the opinions of writers and documentary film makers. And don't take everything from one person and source for face value, because there's a good old saying that goes, "If two folks agree on everything, you can guarantee only one of them is doing all the thinking." Read or watch news sources to hear the opinions of others. Evaluate the topic to form your opinion. And it's best not to form a solid opinion unless you know you can verbally defend that opinion.
Hey brother--I don't hate you. Life is too short to spend time hating people. I just plainly disagree with what you believe politically.
This whole discussion started because someone said they "hated republicans". So I just made a general statement about how much hate comes from the left.
