How did the stones at Stonehenge end up on top?

    Not stonehenge, but it proofs the human brain(levers/pullies/ect)...........still leaves a lot of interesting questions(worldwide), bigger stuff/timeline(monoliths) all over the world, wich we are not able to do now(or with great effort/cost).........again we seem to overlook something(timeline and what they say themselves)

    Maybe lifting the top a mere few inches at a time?
    The big guys lifting poles and raising a side just enough for the rest of the crew to throw handfuls of gravel and small rocks under the slab a bit at a time till they were at desired height?

    It is possible they buried the upright stones and waited for winter to place the top stones, when the ground was hard.
