Yes, so basically question is: How did every 7 days on the calendar get their names?

    why is Sunday called Sunday?

why is Monday named as Monday?

why do they call Tuesday; Tuesday?!!!

Why is Wednesday known as Wednesday?

Why do people call Thursday, Thursday?

why is Friday known as Friday?

Why is Saturday referred to as Saturday??

I think you see where I’m going with this. I know the days of the week have something to do with maybe like “Roman Gods” or something? But how did each of these single 7 days get their names?? Thanks!! Just trying to educate myself more on history behind how days of the week work???

The names originate from the sun and the moon, then the planets Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn, which were also the roman gods. In the English names, the Germanic planet names were chosen, with slight modifications.
