    Compared to my attitude at this time last year when I started this thread.....this week has been highs in the low to mid teens where I'm at and the general mood has been "Eh...child's play!" Nobody is even wearing their really cold weather gear yet. I was sweating my ass off today. I can handle this for the rest of the winter.

    Oh...I know. I meant I could handle these temps staying where they are for the rest of the winter. :) 17 or 18 degrees isn't too bad compared to -17.

    First winter in a snowy climate...

    First big snow = exciting novelty!

    Second big snow = warm and fuzzy emotions; hot chocolate binge

    Third = seen it already; bored

    Fourth = minor nuisance

    Fifth = major nuisance

    Sixth = angry and frustrated

    Seventh = god damn this shit

    Eighth = I'll murder the next motherfucker who says "snow" to me

    Second winter in a snowy climate...

    I'll work for the minimum wage to get out of here! Hell must be a cold place, not hot.

    Was a little bit warmer jogging dogs tonight, but as I said it is rapidly dropping now......need to get the last of leaves picked up here before first snow, which I don't know when that will be......
    My cell phone read for this area still says 21 degrees though....hmmmm....feels colder....probably because the sun is gone now.

    Goood morning,

    5AM and 5C outside.

    I tell you, it's all a big conspiracy. There is no such thing like polar vortex or snow.

    I paid some kids to bag 20 huge, compact bags of leaves last week. They got most of them. I don't give a shit about the last few blowing around. I hate raking and bagging leaves!

    Know what you mean - when we had 3 feet of snow with 8 foot drifts 2 years ago that was so cool. [IMG]

    With that said "Buffalo is truly the armpit of the world" and the only thing it has going for it is snow and its close to Niagara Falls.

    30F degrees out now and we are having freezing rain. It is really slippery out there. I was going to take Grace for a walk but we barely made it down the front stairs (all ice) and to the front yard. We will be going out later when it all melts.

    36f here, but the ground is still cold from the snap. It's raining and the County road is a freakin' ice rink with no sign of a gravel truck. Way out here on the edge of the county is not a big priority, especially when it's a big game day in Missoula (in-state rivals Grizzlys vs Bobcats) There will be a lot of intoxicated people on icy roads today! When they graded the county road this summer they really crowned the hell out of it, this morning it was so slick my car just about slid right off the edge into the woods! I didn't even make it to town, I had to turn around and creep my way back home. Now my cars stuck halfway up the drive.
