41 right now, but I can't stress enough how cold that feels on a subtropical coastline. 26 low tonight
In Tampa this morning everyone kept talking about how cold it was this morning. We were in capris, t-shirts and flip flops laughing at them telling them that with the wind chill at home it still felt over 90 degrees warmer than it did at home. It was about 65 in Tampa. Wind chill at home was like -30.
Once you're down here for awhile, you acclimate and your blood thins out. It's a whole different ballgame then.
The humidity sucked this morning. My curly hair was pissed. I couldn't deal with that year round. Summer in Iowa sucks balls with humidity. I hate it. No way I'd want that for 12 months.
Ugh...it's been a low of 16 degrees and highs in the 30s. I've been forcing myself to go out and there was a freeze warning today so I decided to pretend it was a snow day (since I have a little wannabe meteorologist on my hands) and I took off and just talked, and cooked and played like a kid and watched Netflix. I hope it's warmer tomorrow though I really have to work.
Lol. Chicks from up north always say that about their hair. I never hear florida girls even mention it though. It takes some getting used to that's all. Now when it gets the least bit dry here or even worse I go north in the winter, it feels like my entire body is going to dry up, crack, and fall apart. Tampa also has a slightly different climate than northeast florida, which to me is ideal.
California is where it's at! I love it there and one day I will move there. But not for a few more years.
It would have helped if I could have brought the right hair products but I only brought a carry on and they don't make a small enough size. Curly hair problems. I didn't really care what it looked like. It just felt gross and sticky. Yeah I know what you mean about feeling dry. That part sucks too. I guess we can't have it all.
California is really nice, but too expensive. Overpopulated, smog, fires, mudslides, stupid gun laws. This place is a lot like California but more affordable and feels more free. I've always wanted to live there though.
