How can the peace, love and respect of the hippies heal humankind in this day and age

The forces of hate, racism, misogyny, and intolerance seem more emboldened than ever. Religion seems like part of the problem rather than the solution. Perhaps we need a resurrection of the message of the hippies from the 1960’s.

 

by the same steadfast example we always have. it isn't a safe thing to do. but its what it takes people doing.
logic, consideration, honesty and imagination, in combination. you never know which individuals will be affected first or which last.
you cannot expect to predict its schedule. there has never been a guarantee we would see results in our own lifetime.

we have, yes we have a mess that has been allowed to get out of hand, because people assumed that could never happen.
you can't expect harm to be avoided when logic is discarded and even dispized, nor can logic be expected to do all the heavy lifting by itself.
exemplifying consideration, using logic in the service of doing so, consistence and persistence.
its not exactly magic, but reality is statistical and that's how it works.
