My bf got some bad news today from the vet,he might have to put his cat down,and the place that he got his cat from lied to him about everything,they told him that he had all of his shots,when in truth,he didn't have any shots at all,I know that my bf has such a big heart,and I know how hard this must be for him,do you think he will be ok?How can I be there for him?He lives 3 hours away.
Not sure, have him get a new cat. He'll be fine. I mean, in the grand scheme of things, I'm now dealing with trying to be there for my boyfriend after he was transferred 1.5 hours away after having a schizophrenic breakdown, having to have the police escort him to the hospital, just to find out he had warrants we didn't know about so when he finally does get out of the mental hospital, he'll have to sit in jail for an undetermined amount of time. But yeah. Get him another cat.
Replacing pets usually does the trick yeah. But 3 hours away I doubt you personally will be doing it. Just comfort words.
Just listen.....nothing much else you can really do...but good listeners are always very healing, in my experence, anyway.
