I am thinking it is not so, there are eyes everywhere, you may not see them, but it does not mean they are not watching..like a mountain lion, you may not see them while you walk in the mountains, but they stalk ever so quietly..waiting for the perfect time to pounce..it may not be now, but you never know..always guard your words, which is something we all can control, if your mouth does not open, no one knows what you are thinking.
It has been eroding for decades and continues to do so. Not a comfort zone for most people but a reality for all.
that mentality is tantamount to acceptance and surrender. Shame on you. :toetap05: FUCK EM!!! I'll say what I need to the way I need to, as the mods here can confirm. (unless of course you are a serial killer or terrorist, then those are sound words of advice :2thumbsup
I’ve known for some time the NSA, CIA, FBI, UN, and Homeland Security have been closely monitoring my internet activities and there’s little I can do to prevent it. Anonymous this day and age…ha,..impossible Hotwater
precisely as annonymous as the attention i don'e attract by anyone being intersted in what i am. not that anyone is ever safe from "what is he doing in there?". the nsa sweeping everything up, whether they think they have cause for interest or not, means that if something does draw their interest later, the can go back and find matchups and if they don't make their lazy case, the can twist things until they do. which is the scarry part, because absolutely anyone can end up being the victim of that. as the little song used to say "oh the walls have ears and the ceiling has eyes, and the pillow is an agent in disguise, so how can i tell you that i love you dear, when you know that the walls have ears." i also think people have been idiots about communication security, especially young people. phones have been listened in on as long as there have been phones, and i mean back to the earliest days of land lines, even telegraphs before voice phones, and that isn't going to change. but we do need to put some kind of way, you know, to keep all that data that is collected, from being abused to create false cases against innocent people.
erm, I just use Tor Browser when I want to be anonymous. Or maybe something like Freenet or I2P. There are even anonymous filesharing programs like iMule and StealthNet. Tor Browser seems the best for most people though.
Any of you ever consider the ENORMOUS volumes of data that travel through the internet, cell phones, land lines, etc. every second and you think ANYBODY has the capability to scan it ALL, let alone give a shit about the vast majority of any of us at Hip Forums . LOL The only thing they can do at that level is try to recognize patterns of usage, that is all they can do. If they focus on a specific person, sure, it's all up for grabs, but to think there is actually someone reading/listening to all this crap is ridiculous.
I feel anonymous. Mostly it's because I've experienced that people are not very interested in each other (except to criticize). As for the whole "privacy" from our government.....nothing to hide...I'm boring.
^ uh wut? and i dont believe i have a high profile on the radar but im for sure on there. sadly this day and age its hard not to be. Also someone mentioned something about safety in numbers, and I like that concept. I feel like there is a lot of people doing similar things to me, and why should I personally attract attention? I guess if im unlucky maybe.
