Used to be My favorite week of the year

But it used to be about shark science. Now it's all about shark attacks and sensationalism. It helps to perpetuate the maneater myth about these beautiful and amazing animals

They have definitely amped up Sinister aspect of sharks. I agree that they are incredible animals but they certainly do make you nervous when they are swimming underneath you......

i didn't even realize discovery channel or shark week still existed. i would have guessed that by this point it would be mostly reality shows about a white trash shark family that spends most of their time at the walmart.

That's only because they attack from below :)

We usually only have the babies down here and they don't know how to hunt sea mammals yet, so they generally don't bother you.

Usually, the Mom’s aren’t far from the babies
Just saying .....you see a 12’ swimming below you, I am certain they will have your full attention
