I was referring to the number of incidents involving a kid taking a gun(s) to school to kill numbers of other kids. I think that has happened 23 times now. That could be a parental observation of kids debate. I really can't add every discharged firearm that has ever taken place at a school in to the relevance if this conversation. I'd prefer to stay on the ficus of current activities with kids shooting up schools, instead of a guy killing himself in his truck on school property. He took no one else out that was doing nothing but being a student in a school. Don't argue like a liberal by taking something to an unrelated context. It doesn't work. I don't think guns are the problem. I think something has gone inherently wrong with the ingredients that they grow up in. In Houston, this kid took dad's six shooter and shotgun to do his deeds. No AR style weapons required. Not discussion of illegal sales. The kid took legal non assault weapons and killed 10 people with the intent to kill more. THAT kid and the others like him is the problem!
See, you make a good point and then say things like this. It's hard to take you seriously because it often appears your agenda is simply picking on gun owners.
And again the guns have been in our culture and our country for a couple of hundred years now. The fact that kids are using them is not about the guns, it's about the fact that now kids have decided it's OK to kill people in numbers using them If you are in agreement that if kids in other countries would use guns if they could, you agree that it's the kids that are the problem. Here they use guns, elsewhere they use trucks or etc. Something has gone wrong with humanity, not the fact that we live in a country where guns have been a Constitutional right to have for a couple of centuries now. Why is everyone so quick to blame guns. These school shootings began in the last decade or so. That is where we need to focus. The last decade or so of a shift in kids willingness to kill others.
I understand that and I'm totally okay with however people want to take it. My goal is simply to express how I feel. I believe this is the psychological root cause.
You aren't immune from making comments that make it hard to take you seriously as well. Exercise your First Anendment Rights. Suffer any consequences that may result. Kerri does the same.
90% of my comments on here smartass remarks and jokes. Most of what I say isn't to be taken seriously.
This is the problem and until this core issue is addressed the problem will continue. If these kids had no access to guns they would resort to other means. They would make bombs, drive vehicles, use axes, whatever. They are broken inside. They do not have the ability to cope with negative emotions nor with the negative actions of others. Who are their heroes and role models? Have they been given healthy outlets for frustration? Have they been nurtured and paid attention to at all? If they have had their parents' attention, care, and nurturing have they responded positively? If not, they are broken and you do not turn your back on a problem that is bigger than you. You take the time and initiative to seek help for your child. You keep going for help until you get it. You take the time and effort to see that your child is physically and mentally healthy and you do whatever necessary to protect them, and to protect others from them if need be. To do otherwise as a parent is criminal.
That's been proven untrue. Shana Fisher's mother wasn't even involved in her life and wouldn't be in a position to know that. The boy didn't even recognize the girl's name. Her mother made that story up. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-new...school-shooter-was-not-targeting-girl-n876061
I never said these psychopaths werent the problem, I'm just making the argument that we need to start working on limiting access to guns to make mass murder a little harder. Its ridiculous how easy these kids (and adults, kids arent the only mass murderers) can obtain guns when they decide they need one And i'm also in favor of single payer healthcare and increasing funding for mental health services, obviously it takes a multiprong approach I keep hearing that if we ban guns kids will use trucks instead but I dont really see proof of this happening in other countries to the extent that mass shootings happen in America. In fact, the only example I can think of that wasnt terrorism related is the incel dirtbag in Toronto recently. It seems a bit disingenous to say that these kids will use another tool when there isnt proof of that.
There’s proof of it, this teen made bombs and put them in and around the school. If you want to improve gun laws, then the father should be charged with criminal negligence, at the very least. The gun laws are in place and he obviously didn’t have his guns stored properly. I liken banning all guns to imagine banning alcohol because there are people who drink irresponsibly, and drive drunk. Not the same thing but it is like punishing everyone because of what a minority of people are doing. I’m not pro gun but it’s wrong to punish all responsible gun owners who own guns for self defense, for the actions of those who are irresponsible.
Well that was my point about the lawyer, a lawyer's word isnt proof. I'm sure law enforcement will investigate the claim about the girl though
I don't own guns - people just give them to me . One old single-shot shotgun was a gift from my nephew from when he was stealing and selling such things . One day he stopped by and demanded I return it so he could manufacture a suicide by cop . This was very annoying . Yep , the Sheriff came by , too . Nothing happened . Just be aware and lovingly careful . It's necessary to peace . The Circle of Protection is a family vibration : uje : human equals vibration . Feeling vibration is how you know anything . How do you know what to do ?
