Do you work part / or full time & how many hours do you work ? Do you have more than one job ? What age groups does your work place employ ?
I go to school. I have 12 hours of class per week, and spend another 30-40 hours/week reading and working on assignments.
I work 4 days a week. My hours change depending on my clients. I don't have to work very much so I can't complain. I have no idea how many hours I average. Shit, I just added last week up. I worked about 16 hours. As of right now I'm booked about that much next week too. I'm often at work more hours than that but doing business owner stuff some of those hours. Plus I have to run business related errands that take time too so I average more than that if you add that into it. I only have one job. I'm self employed and don't have any employees so my age group is 35.
I work 5 nights per week, about 32 + hours on average & age group of staff is between 15 & early 70's. Staff have to be aged 15 +.
I have a small business and usually one employee so I dont really work, just oversee that its all going well and do some back up where needed. My new employee just had surgury so she wanted to come back and I agreed but I help and make sure she doesnt bend or reach for anything. Once she is healed and ready to go back to full boar then I will have less to do again. I do go out to make sure things we need are in but she generally comes with me for the ride. I usually employ mature people. This employee is 56 and has all the experience I needed plus training so I didnt have to train her much.
Between 40-60 hours a week. Sometimes overtime is planned sometimes it's a surprise. Depending on how many hours I work at my main gig, I also do a few things on the side. Although lately there hasn't been time. There's only one person at my work who is younger than me. Most are 50+
Sheesh Joe! How many hours I work a week...I am not really sure. I tend to time projects, and not always with that. More often I log how many hours in a day. Sometimes I log how many hours I've worked in a week. I plan on being more consistent with the time I work, but there will always be small things that I do randomly that won't be counted. For instance when I write something in the bathtub or do some social media stuff while reading hf. I just started doing this business challenge, so by the end of this week I might really know how much I've worked. I've done it before and I think it's typically somewhere between 20-30 hours...sometimes less though. Possibly sometimes more too. lol
I'm Retired, But I Spend A Lot Of Hours On Hip Forums, And Depending Who's Online, Sometimes That Can Be Described As Hard Work... Cheers Glen.
Generally it's 19 hours a day for 6 or 7 days then a day of light work of a few hours every 8 hours then a day off and back to 19 hours. But it's only 4-5 months a year
Mon - Fri I put in 50-55 hours plus I usually go in to work for a few hours Sat or Sun. I work nonstop, no lunch and field hundreds of phone calls a day. Working sucks.
I have an irregular schedule. Sometimes I work 12 hour days and sometimes 8. Every 6 weeks I have 7 days off. Some weeks I'm over 40 hrs, some I'm under. I'm salaried so I don't get overtime, but my hours usually come to 2080 a year like a normal 40 hr work week would.
50+ is the usual. With the occasional bad weather day.. I do enjoy those 60+ hour weeks because of the overtime
Right now, zilch as I am on holiday. When I start working again in March I will be working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, however only 22 hours of that is actual classroom time (will be teaching).
how many hours do you guys have to work in order to get overtime? here it is 44, but some places will pay overtime on anything over 40.
