themistress thats a good idea. i would put my pictures on here, except that alot of peopel have looked in my gallery and this thread is a really old idea for one and so many peopel are sick and tired of these "popularity contests" which can turn members (like me) unpopular once a new hottie moves in the house... thats why everyone is just voting for themselves.

i dont think that anyone should make these threads for a while because it gets peopel feelnig left out when they arent voted for. lets just go easy on it.. if youre gonna make it, thats fine, but jsut remeber that some people feel like these are popularity contestss.

you know what i agree, i am going to choose not to respond to these things anymore. Its flattering to get voted for but it hurts when your not. My boyfriend thinks I'm beautiful and his is the only opinion that really counts to me.

I like everyone, except a very few assholes...and that's only because of their personality. These threads really are horrible, because (usually) the only people that get picked are the ones that know each other, the popular forumers.

Some people seem to thrive off of these threads, why does there have to be so many of them?

 

because most people are shallow, or at least enjoy acting shallow at times. it'll get easier once you accept the fact and don't participate in the thread if you see no point. i agree that there are too many of these threads, but how else will deserving hipforumers get recognition? i'm talking more about the funniest or whatever hipforumer threads, not so much the hot member threads. because it's been said time and again, everyone who has posted their picture on this site is beautiful. they probably wouldn't post their picture if they weren't. so it really just comes down to who likes/knows who the most, because it's a pain in the ass to type out the entire member list. i like these threads (overplayed or not) because it gives me a chance to stare at all the hotties. and when some of them actually think i'm hot it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
