That's right, I forgot about that BTW A new Candyman movie is currently in pre-production also starring Tony Todd

When I watched Silence of the Lambs I decided not to go to bed straight away. I wonder what Lisa Montgomery did will ever make it to the big screen, or is it a case of truth being stranger than fiction? What she did was certainly grotesque.
If your tastes run from straight horror to occult/horror or sci-fi/horror, I recommend, in order: Jacob's Ladder (1990). Avoid the 2019 re-make; it's terrible. The original is a masterpiece. A very young Macaulay Culkin has a notable role, and he's totally uncredited. His dad got into a financial and crediting dispute with the producers after his scenes were shot. Scanners (1981). Flatliners (1990).
Start with Nosferatu Nosferatu (1922) - IMDb Or The Cabinet Of Dr Caligari The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) - IMDb
A Quiet Place A Quiet Place 2 The Decent I love horror movies and these were probably the most intense without being over the top gore porn.
Black Christmas (the original from 1974, NOT the 2006 remake or the garbage one from a few years ago) Nightbreed Hellraiser (the series goes downhill after the first 3 films, in my opinion.) Prom Night (the original, anyway; I've never managed to finish the remake.) Carrie (The original with Sissy Spacek; the 2013 version with Chloe Grace Moretz is okay, though) ONE TO AVOID: Jackals (2017) - Utter shit. It had potential, but the last 20 minutes it went downhill and the ending was complete garbage. Its in the `okay, I watched it, and would please like that time back' films.
