if your tattoos are fading very quickly (< 3 months) it could be because the ink is being placed in the epidermis, not in the dermis? Indian ink can often contain toxins or other impurities (binding agents, perfumes, etc) which appear to have an effect on the longevity of tattoos... Other than that, there are factors involved with healing and care (sun exposure, etc).
did mine with a needle and indian ink last year. it's faded but it's definitely still there and not green. I think it was speedball ink? feeling all DIY dandy is so empowering, no?
yeah I realli love it, glad you guys like it toodon't think I'm too crazy/badass thoughchemi I wanna see yours!
You only need to go in about 1.5mm.... I guess it's harder when you don't have a free hand to stretch the skin properly and the needle is kinda bulky. Looks like it went ok though! How did you sterilise the needle?
I ran a lighter over it and then put it in boiling water, the skin around that area is pretty thin and I stretched it just by pulling my hand back a bit, have you any homemade ones amy?
Nah just pissed off lol. Would've been more of a pain for me if the knife had gone in the person I really wanted to stab
no it didn't hurt at all but I have quite a high pain threshold. uhm, it's only a safety pin how sore can that be piercing through your skin? my arm kind of went numb after a while anyway so I didn't feel anything, just numb fuzz.
Cool Lux. I once took a safety pin to my skin, just scratching around, and a smiley face came about. It scabbed over, and I picked at the scab for a few weeks, and now there is a smiling scar on the inside of my right forearm.... Crazy times.
looks great lux nice and simple. I have only seen really shitty home made tatts first hand, so i'm not sold on getting one myself, and i don't really trust any of my friends
she's a cutter and blames it on someone who hurt her on v-day. which is ok. but, hopefully amy has moved on from this.
i love it luxie!!!! i have a homemade tatoo i did when i was 14 or 15 and i loved it but unforntly it doesnt look good anymore cuz well... i fucked it up when i was like 17 cuz i decided to cut it open so now its a tattoo under a scar
Lol well actually yeh I used to cut myself a bit, quite a few years ago, but always shallow enough that it didn't leave scars, and then I stopped. This other occasion, the one mentioned here, I really wanted to take a knife to a person and just about controlled myself enough to stick it in my own skin instead. I do blame it on someone else because it was an entirely seperate thing you see, and nothing to do with general emo-ness.
