That shit never worked for me. It just makes me feel a bit upped. Most of those pills don't effect me very much though. Stick to the main drug tree buddy :)

Be thankful. Let's be honest, regardless of your willpower and whatnot, if that comedown didn't just happen, you'd be doing some more tomorrow, right?

I see amphetamines in the same light as MDMA, save it for special occasions, or it'll lose the magic and become a habit.

The whole addiction thing isn't about who's mentally strong or not, it happens even to the best of us, it's just one moment it's a bit of fun, the next moment you *need* to be high. I've had my share of addictions but thankfully most were very short-lived, however I can definitely say I had the same attitude, I'm very cautious and have good willpower - but it's not enough. I've got a new much more careful attitude to drugs now though and it helps.

Anyway, glad you had fun, but yeah, save it for special occasions, I know with all the stresses of school etc drugs can really help, but they can also do a LOT of damage when you're still at school, so take it easy, I made some mistakes that I can't take back now - and I don't want others making the same mistakes.

My general view now is if something makes you want to turn down weed, it's probably a bad habit hah. I've only ever had that with things that sent me down a bad path. Stuff like psychedelics on the other hand make me want to smoke more.

    Peace :)

I prefer sniffing instant release ritalin to adderal, (IME, less body load, less comedown, and your able to sleep at night)

I am convinced I have ADD, so Adderall is not recreational for me. 30mg IR makes me feel a bit of dopaminergic euphoria when it first kicks in, then my affect flattens. But I find it a wonderdrug in that it gives me extreme focus and I feel so much greater than I am. XRs are godsends when big papers roll around. I could do without the levo- isomer, though...

Yes. Even after this I decided to speed again because apprently 'focalin is soo much different than adderall.' Or at least thats what my friends said.. So I said whatever dude(plus I was stoned already and I snorted 3 of those focaline things..) And yeah the high is better. I actually slept that night and even had trouble staying awake.. And I also didn't feel like shit at all whatsoever..Still though, I'm not gonna do it again for a long while..

Apparently I have ADD.. It makes sense, but every question they gave me, I answered truthfully and they think I have it.. Plus my mom filled some out and she thinks I do also.. She also e-mailed all of my core teachers and they say that I do also.. So I mean I think I am going to get prescribed something.. But I don't think I'm going to speed except every once in awhile.. But seriously not that often..

ADD isn't a real disease. They're going to give you drugs to make you more managable.

I dunno.. My psychologist said that he had it, and he showed me pictures of a normal brain and a brain with ADD.. It seemed pretty convincing. It was in some medical book.

The brain can appear different for a number of reasons. ADD is a label for a very vague list of symptoms, most (if not all) of which can be helped with a better diet, healthier mental stimulation, and (in some kids' cases) less of other drugs that are being taken. Ritalin and Adderol, after prolonged use, often increase these symptoms.

Just because something is in a book, doesn't mean it's a correct interpretation of reality. Someone else telling you that they had ADD doesn't mean that they actually did, even if they are thoroughly convinced of what they are telling you.

If you stop putting crap in your body and start giving it the fuel it needs, and are patient enough to get through the withdrawal (which has some of the same symptoms as ADD-especially in the case of uppers) you will see that you are not a victim of disease, but rather your, as well as your parents' poor decisions about what is a healthy lifestyle.

I don't think you should just believe me. I suggest that you do some extensive research on the matter before you become a slave to chemicals.

If, after you have done this research, you are still convinced that you are the victim of an affliction that you have no power to heal from on your own, go ahead and join the pill-popping adults you see around you everyday, miserable with their lives and confused about what they should be teaching the youth that they are surrounded by.

Just remember, the farther down this path you go, the more painful it is to turn around, but there is always hope for you to take charge of your own mind and behavior.

P.S. If I had listened to my high school faculty, I would have been put on lithium and become a zombie. I had a rough time figuring some of my issues out, but I'm better off than most of the people I know, because I faced my problems and dealt with them. I'm not in an insane asylum, as I had been warned of. I am married to someone I have been with for 3 years now, have a child, my own house, am in college, etc. If I had been put on lithium, I would probably be dead or locked away by now. Instead, I'm passionate and a little over-talkative sometimes.

I suggest that being a little weird is a much better option than being "normalized" by a chemical.

ganggang, you should go back a read your own posts.

"i realize i could harm myself"
    then
    "i'm not gonna OD"

    how do you know?

    "screw speed, i hate this"

do you really wanna take that shit (albeit a low dose) everyday?!

my girlfriend took adderal for years as a young adult, and she took it when we met 5 years ago. she weaned herself off it, and eventually didn't take it at all anymore. i think it had a profound impact on her personality, for the worse. sometimes she is a bit talkative (aren't all the ladies:)) and sometimes she zones out or whatever, but i'd much rather have that than someone who essential crashes from meth every evening

I know, I'm going to change my diet for a little bit because I know it will take a few months for them to even make a decisiona bout all this.. But I'm gonna just eat good, drink good.. You know.. More water, that helps ALOT I have noticed honestly.. I don't want the meds, but sometimes I will just lie and say that I took them and give them away or stash them for a rainy day ;) that was a cool rhyme, was it not? :D

how often are you doing speed? too lazy to read the entire thread to find out, but it seems like alot of everyone's giving you this much shit for it.

yeah people are prescribed it everyday, but they don't take doses to get the euphoric rush as you probably know - and even taking threshold doses everyday isn't the greatest thing ever either.

my husband was given ritalin as a kid, and he has huge heart problems and sometimes breathing problems bc of it. to me adderal is just as bad, both for adhd, and add. but guess what he never even had those. they just were forcing stupid pills down his throat. he suffers from health problems bc of that now. at age 23 . so trust me. there is affects to this. especially if you use it all the time, and even if you are prescribed it.

you admitted within this thread that you did it more than once, and that you loved it. we ex-speedheads were just trying to give ya a warning. it then turned into a discussion about you being prescribed a chemical that will alter your brain chemistry so that you can be more normal. mystery, just read it. it's not that long.
