A couple days ago we had about a 20-30 cent rise in prices....it changed with different places.....the highest i've seen though was $2.82.
Yeah I think there is some definite gouging going on, the Shell station that was 2.99 at noon is now 2.69.
I havent watched the gas prices around here, but I live about 150 miles from the Mississippi coast and people are having to wait in line for hours to get gas at the few stations with electricity, and now they set a curfew so the gas stations have to close at 8:00 p.m. and their rationing the gas to something like 10 gallons per person.
don't talk about gas prices when theres more important things to talk about like all those people that just lost their lives you fool!!!
Monday:$2.65 per gallon Tuesday: $2.99 per gallon Wednesday: $3.15 per gallon Being able to walk to work and school: Priceless... Too bad I live fifteen minutes from work and a half hour from school....
we have a 32% jump startin today in this oil exportin country! and this after only a few months of a 20% increase - 50% increase this year and indications of goin up further
My aunt went to 2 different gas stations yesterday in 2 different towns. The first one was $2.79 a gallon. Then last night we stopped at another one and noticed the pump said $3.10 a gallon....wow
Me too. Seeing more bikes lately, too. Anyways, prices here are around 3 19. Some areas are around 3 55, but others are still low (ha!) at 2 65.
The funny thing is, though, I'm hearing the cost of oil will actually probably drop, due to the US being unable to import/use as much, thanks to the ports and refineries being so jacked up. But for us in america, it will still cost a lot at the pumps or heating companies because of the limited supply. The rest of the world won't be so bad off...
Yeah, but Europeans live in dense areas in which you walk to work anyway. Plus you can fit the vast majority of European countries into half a state. They don't have a problem like we do. "Well, I ride a bithcycle to work, tho I don't have to worry *simper*" wait til they jack up the price on your organic wheatgrass seitan cause the trucking firm has had to jack its rates up 150% to get it there.
hmm maybe you guys need to work on the concentration bit then! get closer. coz it aint gettin any better ..not in 10, 20 or 50 years
OK then! Yes, let's all get closer. ummm, you got any ideas on how to move cities and suburbs closer to each other?
Well that'll work. Move everyone closer together, that'll put housing prices up even more and TOTALLY ensure that when the next disaster hits ALL the eggs'll be in one basket. It's amazing how "peak oil" hit in the 1970s and it was $80 a barrel for oil (adjusted for inflation) but as soon as we got in a president with some cojones the price dropped? How funny that oil went UP during Bush I's tenure, during Clinton gas was $0.97 a gallon, now we have Bush II in power, it's $3.50 a gallon. But there's no connection between record oil profits and the fact that the oil men are in power and the price of gas. And you'd be a communist and a terrorist to make one.
yeah it sucks that gas is expensive, its like 3.16+ but there isnt anything you can do about the cost of gas...I just dont drive as much and just drive to work and back and dont drive places unless I have to..
Do you know how much I used to spend in 'gas' per week when I lived in the UK? Up to £80 a week, sometimes more. You still need a car to get places, irrespective of how big your country is. 'Gas' in the US is really cheap.
