sign has had many changes by vandal and promoted messages over the years..

'Tis such an iconic sign I'm surprised you can get to it so readily and then spend the time manipulating it to point that nobody else is curious enough to go up there for a visit to see someone doing that and never said anything to anyone anyway. lol.

 

it is tough to get to, my only guess is the authorities were focused on parties and such events that they didnt pay attention to it.

I did get to see it when we flew into/out of LAX. It also wasn't as impressive/big as I'd have initially thought hehe.

 

It's just a cheap sign and they had to solicit donations at one point because it was falling apart. Like someone said, it ain't easy to get to either and whoever did this did some pretty good planning ahead of time.

This is pretty not funny. At least to me.

I don't really care if you vandalize the Hollywood sign, but at least make it funny.

 

It wasnt really vandalized, if you look closely it looks like they did it with some strategically placed black and white bags

 

right, its been done before. and kinda simple to black out and whiten like with plastic or cardboad..

I saw that sign, once, from the air.

It's a pretty awesome thing to see at the end of a flight.

its like our Alcoa sign.. once awesome and told the time and neat logos. now dilapidated and zero fucks given..

 

lol, probably inevitable, and inevitably pointless.

 

Seems to me if you need a sign to tell you where you are, maybe you have been smoking a tad too much
